I am getting very nervous with these developments. I live less than 5 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and only 5ft above sea level.
What to do? I am not certian at this time, but I guess when I inherit my mom's property in North Florida at 150ft above sea level, I will have Ocean Front Property:-)
I just have to remember to move or learn to tread water!
In the Movie WarGames, DefCon 1 is "World War 3" and 5 is The lowest Condition, but in "Real Life" 1 is Lowest and 5 is "World War 3" They got it reversed, as is noted by the Writer/Director's comments on the DVD Edition. It is because there wasn't a whole lot of declassified info on that at the time, and they guessed. I think the actual term is ThreatCon instead but I could be wrong.
I just tried this Easter egg out with the Scanjet 5P and it works, and is a bit humourous because of the time the HP Engineers did to code the scanner motor to play music:) By the way, it sounds pretty good, for a Scanner Motor!:)
Toshiba laptops are bad for Linux anyways.

I have an T3400 Laptop from Toshiba, and it will not support Linux, it won't take the boot floppy and if i try the loadlin way to get it to run Disk Druid Can't see the IDE Interface on it. I have to run W95, and from my experience, Toshiba makes it difficult at best to run a non-Microsoft OS (Even DR-DOS won't run on the T3400:( It is a good idea to boycott any company that makes such crappy computers IMHO
Here is what happened with Atari.
It got split into 2 seperate entities.
Atari. (Home Entertainment)
Atari Games (Arcade Entertainment)
Warner Communications sold Atari to JTS i think, which sold it to Hasbro Interactive which Hasbro sold off to Infogrames of France.
Warner Spun off Atari games as a subsiderary of them. Warner sold the Division to Midway.
So that's why there is a little confusinon here.
Hope this clears this up.
Oh I hadn't thought of that. Of course if it's floating, it's already displacing the volume.
Gee, thanks for clearifying that a bit for me silly me.

It IS for Real Laser Projectors. It makes doing the Animation for them much easier.
