Because it was decided a long time ago (I think back in the days of Sears being *one* giant building and a mail-order catalogue) that mail-order purchases were only taxable if the catalogue had a facility operating within the state of purchase. What is Amazon, other than a *really* fast mail-order catalogue, essentially?

Exactly. Some people spend so much time indoctrinating that X is wrong that they don't have any time actually teach how to be a truly decent person. If you think X is immoral, fine, that is your right -- but tormenting someone because of X is just as immoral as X could ever be.

There's a not so fine line between simply making fun of someone or joking about stereotypes and saying, essentially, you're a terrible, evil person that God hates because you're gay.

I know some people are annoyed by people making buttsex jokes when talking about gay men, but that's very different from telling someone that their life is an abomination simply by being a certain way.

Obviously, my department at work should sue Apple for using "Apple Store" -- we sell apples (among other things) so we could be considered an apple store, as well.

The thing here is that this is not a unique phrase. App has been around for decades, as you pointed out. By this logic, I can sue the local bakery if I open a place called "Bread Store" or something, right?

Uh. No. Homosexual defines preference by definition -- it is sexual attraction to someone of the same sex, NOT the act of having sex with that person. Similarly, pedophile defines preference, NOT behavior; a person can be a pedophile without ever touching a kid.

Homosexuality extends far beyond "stick[ing] your dick up some guys (sic) arse". It is being attracted to people of the same sex -- attraction to people is something that cannot be controlled. I don't choose who I'm attracted to, neither do homosexuals. The only thing homosexuals have any control over is whether or not they engage in sexual activity -- and frankly, if they are attracted to someone else, and that person is attracted to them, what exactly is the problem with them engaging in anything?
