I want to join the me too group here, though it wasn't the "gotta have it now" that got me, it was the "we don't need you anymore". a year and a half in the navy helped me get a better job oddly enough
I'm going to be an obnoxious one and suggest a distro: PCLinuxOS. The only issue I've had is getting the usual notebook broadcom wireless chip running. At least the whole distro fits on a CD still.
So when the hard drive in a mac crashes, you must buy a brand new computer in order to have a full version? If that's the case, I'd rather run Windows. At least I don't need a new computer when the hard drive crashes.
So you're saying that choosing the same hardware from the same hardware manufacturers that Apple chose to use in their computers and deciding to install OSX on it is illegal.
I quite like my laptop running when I shut the lid, I save the power of running the screen when it's doing some mundane task. Yes, my laptop can do that as well as other shutdown related tasks when I close the lid.
No, liquor and wine, etc will be an additional monthly charge like how the cable company charges more for Showtime and the other movie channels. So the more variety you like the more you have to pay.
But yeah, all of that would be really weird from my perspective.
Well, maybe someone should create some type of tool for detecting the hardware or taking a hardware spec sheet and delivering the required kernel modules needed to run properly without the extra bits for alternative architectures. The tool would need to be updated with each release as necessary for each architecture. It would probably also be rather large for its limited task, but would definitely simplify the task for people like myself, who aren't sure which pieces they need.

The only issue I can think of is a security vulnerability that allows someone to change the original message that was stored.
I've gotten some of those candelabra-base CFLs (stupid ceiling fan). Individually they weren't as bright as the lone incandescent one I had lying around, but combined they use the same wattage as it did, a fair trade-off for me.
On that note, why should a business be required to fork an additional $100+/copy to get such functionality. XP Pro wasn't nearly as expensive for what it provided?

if I can't buy it with cash (or debit card as I am a small guy and carrying cash makes me paranoid)
I carry a credit card for the rewards, but I pretend it's a debit card and don't charge more than I have in my checking account.
Sensible, with proper self-control that a lot of people, like me, don't have.
then I don't need it now and can do without for a while.
Even a house?
That's what renting is for. I'm sure that when I retire, if it's financially feasible before I die, I'll have the money to pay in cash for it.
Lay down with a cat, wake up with... fleas?
i fall a little further to the right than you on health and social services, but i agree with you on immigration
I thought market regulation was left-wing. I'd hate to be the eagle on the US emblems, who doesn't know his left wing from his right wing.
It would have to be done with the electric utilities rather than the water, as quite obviously not everyone is attached to a city sewer

Let's take a class in Sarcasm 101, shall we?

This is so true and arguably the greatest rivalry in college football. I live in Ohio and I wouldn't dare say I was a Michigan fan that time of year.
ESPN:sports::1990's MTV:music videos
There fixed that for you
So, if you're idea catches one, will this be the first time a sports site gets slashdotted?

I'm too lazy to do the research, but what has happened with other patents declared invalid after someone has already collected royalties, etc.
+5 Intelligent... wait they don't have one for intelligent

Maybe I'm just dreaming
This makes me think of another interesting use

But it can be switched off without adverse effects (other than security issues) and without having to do anything with about:config.

+1 for the world's race to make a bigger idiot
+1 for that particular simpsons reference
Am I missing something? Even TFA doesn't say how this is a major step forward for bendable computer screens.
