Yea, you're right. It sure would be a lot easier if I could just open up a browser and take care of everything I need to do rather than start up 10-15 diffrent programs to do basicly the same or similar tasks.
You may not know but in the prop comunity this is actually a specific gun know as "The Greedo Killer" It is diffrent than any other blaster carried by Han Solo throughout the rest of all the sceens with him in it.
Xmas 1998 was my year. about a week before Xmas my windows box died. I installed linux on it and never looked back.
It's not like 2006 everyone in the world is going to drop all other OSs and use Linux. It's more like
2006 Linux will be even better than last year and more people than last year will make the switch. That has been true every year sense the predictions have been made. The year it doesn't happen we'll know that Linux will be dieing like the BSDs.
Mainframes may be dual and even quad redundant, but you linux cluster is 100-120 times redundant. With blades you could be talking about seconds of interuption to minimal portions of the entire application. If done right there should be no user presevable service interuption.
There are no where near enough people willing to clean toilets for free in order to clean all public toilets. I do a ton of volenteer work but there is no way that it would ever be enough to fill the total needs of sociaty. Ever.

suppose it could be opera.com???
The war is over, vi won on it's supiror abilities and smaller footprint.
No but it should download it in order to keep consistant with the parent posts argument.
Only if your web browser is embedded into your file browser that is embedded into your OS.
Netadmin: We've been Operadotted!!!
Pointy haired: What's that mean?
Netadmin: Two Opera users hit our web server within the same hour.
Pointy haired: What's Opera? Is that a new virus?
I think he ment without the helmet and other accessories of course.
All your questions answere HERE
He was in the last one, as an extra.

My god, I make one little toung in cheek mention of a cliche about BSDs dieing and they just come out of the wood work.
And anyway if you look at google hits from
This year only
and compare it to google hits from
last year 2004
you can obviously see that the bsds are dieing.
Citrix? I do it all the time with a published Outlook in order to get to my corp callender.

yea, Zealot developers are all in the *BSDs.
I, for one, am glad they duped this one. I missed it 6 weeks ago and now I have it right here on the front page.
Dupes in the same day I could see complaining about. Same week maybe worth a mention.
But 6 weeks ago? You're just digging for osmething to bitch about.
You must feel pissed that you pay more for rent just to get those shows then. It's not even an option for you to not pay for it.
Poor fool.
If you look, these figures were sponserd by Linus Torvolds. Looks like this Mr Lutz is in Linus's back pocket.

You forgot to carry the 1, it's actually 42%
It works off the buddy system. be sure to add your buddy to you im client.
Sorry Did you not read the article?
Yea, of course you didn't. Did you even read my post? "...promotes piracy, but saying otherwise..."
Yea I didn't think so.
It says you are free to say what you want but you must be responsible for what you say.
Hmm, To continue on teh GWB theme I think it would be a little closer to:
"Some call you the elete, I call you my base." -- paraphrased George W. Bush
While he was making a joke it was still based in reality.
To joke about making software to promote piracy, then making software that promotes piracy, but saying otherwise, is kinda questionable.
Now all the IBM workers that have been working at deflated rates due to this problem will get huge bonuses and raises.
