    Yea, you're right. It sure would be a lot easier if I could just open up a browser and take care of everything I need to do rather than start up 10-15 diffrent programs to do basicly the same or similar tasks.

    You may not know but in the prop comunity this is actually a specific gun know as "The Greedo Killer" It is diffrent than any other blaster carried by Han Solo throughout the rest of all the sceens with him in it.

    And anyway if you look at google hits from

    and compare it to google hits from
    last year 2004

    you can obviously see that the bsds are dieing.

    Xmas 1998 was my year. about a week before Xmas my windows box died. I installed linux on it and never looked back.

    It's not like 2006 everyone in the world is going to drop all other OSs and use Linux. It's more like

    2006 Linux will be even better than last year and more people than last year will make the switch. That has been true every year sense the predictions have been made. The year it doesn't happen we'll know that Linux will be dieing like the BSDs.

    Mainframes may be dual and even quad redundant, but you linux cluster is 100-120 times redundant. With blades you could be talking about seconds of interuption to minimal portions of the entire application. If done right there should be no user presevable service interuption.

    Hmm, To continue on teh GWB theme I think it would be a little closer to:

    While he was making a joke it was still based in reality.

    To joke about making software to promote piracy, then making software that promotes piracy, but saying otherwise, is kinda questionable.

    There are no where near enough people willing to clean toilets for free in order to clean all public toilets. I do a ton of volenteer work but there is no way that it would ever be enough to fill the total needs of sociaty. Ever.
