He's clearly not a bigot. Even the quote they give of him which is supposedly condemnable is a perfectly sensible argument and could be a reasonable implement in today's society, if people choose this is the direction they want to take. It's purely a matter of whether you believe the government should enforce a certain societal model and discourage deviation from the norm or whether you think the government should let people do whatever they want to do. Both ideas are valid and have their own merits. Refusing to accept this as fact is just proof of narrow-mindedness.
My point is that what computer illiterate people are content with is fairly irrelevant with regards to the quality of what they use. I was also trying to troll a bit. I dislike how in every slashdot threads geeks feel obliged to talk about the handle the technology that their friends, wife or family might be using.
What is unhealthy about this? It's no more unhealthy than a job where you work on a computer all day, like most office jobs. Going to parties and having a lot of alcohol is definitely not a healthy thing either.
You appear to be biased by the fact that your inexperience with the medium causes you to believe that kind of entertainment doesn't have as much value as "going outside".
What does it mean, was it the right thing or wrong thing to do? I wouldn't know how to answer this question myself, given how vague it is. What he did was illegal. Whether what he denounced was illegal or not, I'm not competent to say. My understanding is that it is done in a way that is compliant with the 4th amendment, and therefore it is legal. But right or wrong? I don't know what that means. I think it is interesting to make this go public, this way we can debate whether we want to disallow the government from doing this. That doesn't make it right though.
You're clearly encouraging stigmatizing him as a result of your contempt for his opinions that differ from yours.
That's useless. My facebook contacts don't have such sophisticated software installed, and they will not install it just to avoid wiretapping.
That's stupid. The tracking in Android in software-only, and you can change the software.
At least this one has high resolution. They didn't show it making complicated things though.
Why not? Are you that afraid to have a discussion with someone you might not agree with?

If you have at least a tiny bit of education, you already know the plot twist anyway.
You do realize you're being more of a bigot than he is?
Enjoy your walled garden of material only created by people whose thoughts you approve of.

Why you think that displaying the mediocrity of your friends on slashdot legitimates GNOME 3 is beyond me.
beds in drafty cabins? I thought camping implied sleeping in tents
I'm pretty sure the Enterprise doesn't use JavaScript. It either uses C or a Starfleet-specific language.
People die all the time in all sectors.
You haven't played Deus Ex!?
They never wanted to win, just delay.

Just use a device that can convert mass to kinetic energy, like a fusion reactor.
While wonder materials solve many problems, there are even more problems in their production.
I have problems believing in something that claims to be low-cost yet depends on carbon nanotubes...
The moon rises within the day on Earth too.
Obligatory Star Wars reference.
Then it would be a good death.

You can tell it's not malicious from a glance. To be malicious it would need to access the filesystem, networking or interprocess subsystems.
