    He's clearly not a bigot. Even the quote they give of him which is supposedly condemnable is a perfectly sensible argument and could be a reasonable implement in today's society, if people choose this is the direction they want to take.
    It's purely a matter of whether you believe the government should enforce a certain societal model and discourage deviation from the norm or whether you think the government should let people do whatever they want to do.
    Both ideas are valid and have their own merits. Refusing to accept this as fact is just proof of narrow-mindedness.

    My point is that what computer illiterate people are content with is fairly irrelevant with regards to the quality of what they use.
    I was also trying to troll a bit. I dislike how in every slashdot threads geeks feel obliged to talk about the handle the technology that their friends, wife or family might be using.

    What is unhealthy about this? It's no more unhealthy than a job where you work on a computer all day, like most office jobs. Going to parties and having a lot of alcohol is definitely not a healthy thing either.

    You appear to be biased by the fact that your inexperience with the medium causes you to believe that kind of entertainment doesn't have as much value as "going outside".

    What does it mean, was it the right thing or wrong thing to do? I wouldn't know how to answer this question myself, given how vague it is.
    What he did was illegal. Whether what he denounced was illegal or not, I'm not competent to say. My understanding is that it is done in a way that is compliant with the 4th amendment, and therefore it is legal.
    But right or wrong? I don't know what that means. I think it is interesting to make this go public, this way we can debate whether we want to disallow the government from doing this. That doesn't make it right though.

    You can tell it's not malicious from a glance. To be malicious it would need to access the filesystem, networking or interprocess subsystems.
