  1. I bring this up every time an American points to how many new drugs they get as opposed to most single payer systems. There's a reason WHY the single payer systems aren't approving them.

  3. To be fair, there are many people who can afford Telas but don't choose to because they don't buy into the hype as easily. There is a good deal of hype inflating the price.

Since you brought that up, I find that to be a general trend with TV shows. I used to watch Hot Rod Garage, in which they would work on a single car for several episodes. Or shows like This Old House, where they would focus on a single house for a whole season. Those kinds of shows are getting harder and harder to find. Fast N Loud discusses cars but they have three cars in and out in one episode, and you hardly see them working on it at all. I guess it's just a sign of the times with decreasing attention spans and all.

Oh and it does have to work pretty much perfectly. No one would give a brand of toasters a pass if only one out of a million caught fire and burned someone's house down. They must be engineered to exact specifications so that it can't happen. Why would we be more lenient with a $60,000 vehicle than we are with a $50 toaster? Consumer products should not kill consumers, period.

Well if no one can afford it then it's not going to make a lick of difference to the safety of roads anyway whether it is perfect or not. So that's why this is all hype. Companies are doing this to make money, not to make driving safer. It will probably not ever make driving safer.

Well I tried getting into Nick Cage, but I found it incredibly slow moving for a superhero movie. Same with House of Cards, very slow. Orange is the New Black is ok, but another problem I have is that it costs around $400 to build a PC that can show HECV encoded video. I looked into an Android box that didn't suck and settled on a Mi Box but they don't ship to Canada. It seems any Android box I can get that's good is $250+ which defeats the purpose of getting an Android box. I don't have a laptop to dedicate to a TV right now.. these are all more issues with Netflix. I'm pretty sure I'll just cancel my membership to Netflix.

It's cute how you think AI is strong enough to pick out a deer behind a bush *and* anticipate that it is about to run out into the road. Is this x-ray vision radar with human-like intelligence? Exactly how expensive will these vehicles be with x-ray infrared radar vision sensors with enough on board CPU for human thinking? Car companies have to be forced to put seat belts in at $5 a car as it is. Or do you think there will be internet access to the 'mother ship' from every dark road with deer in America and the connection will happen quickly enough to send the image, detect the deer in mid-lurch, and stop the car in time without injuring the occupant?

I'm not sure why you are being so snarky. It's not like it is unheard of for people to have to flea certain situations at last minute. Recently we had a forest file up here in canada and there are pictures of people fleeing in their vehicles with the fire raging behind them on the highway. These people wouldn't have had an EV charging station available to them on this highway, but they did have gas stations. People were caught unaware by gas shortages and there was an hour wait for fuel which was limited to a $20 fill. You have to appreciate how the matter would be worse with EVs. Presume a person only had an EV to use and they had to rush around town to make preperations, and were only able to charge to 50% before having to leave. If everyone had EVs then the same number of people waiting for an hour of fuel and doing a 10 minute fill up each would be made how much worse having to do a 30 minute charge each? Compounded by the fact that the next EV station would be further away than the next gas station with fuel, and also by the fact that there is NO getting an EV filling truck to vehicles that have run out as it would be possible with ICE vehicles.

I think as more people get EVs this will become a larger concern and you are totally downplaying how serious it could be.
