When you see a person say that they have been calling for regulation, but then create a company that takes advantage of a lack of same regulation, the bullshit meter should be going off.
This just tells me that developers need to get organized and start saying no to 80+ work weeks collectively. Otherwise it will be divided they fall, forever.
The electoral college was supposed to prevent exactly this... a mob that is too stupid to vote taking control of the presidential office. They could have stopped it but they failed.
I'm in Canada, the train is not very practical. Almost as expensive as flying, only goes east-west, you can only take limited luggage with you, plus you still need to rent when you get there.
Last time I was on a long road trip my wife and I took turns, so that was our break. We ate lunch from a cooler in the back. Seriously, if there isn't anything interesting to see why stop.
I don't think you understand parent's point. You have to know what the criteria is before giving the rating. The requirement of an Uber driver is to pick you up and get you where you need to go. As long as they satisfy that requirement, why would they deserve less than 5? Maybe if someone puked in the back seat and they didn't clean it before picking you up that might warrant an in between?
For one thing, I wasn't making a play on words. I meant 'lead' as in ahead. As in, I don't want to worry about where I spend a half-hour of my time every 300 miles. For another thing, I was very young when the unleaded switch happened, but I don't remember many problems and I definitely remember a lot more gas stations.
Just like how everyone is free to start up their own social network, and then weep in a corner alone in the dark. Capitalism presumed a certain geographical limitation. Location, location, location is no longer part of the equation so one company can reach everyone and everyone else is done.
But all stores keep people powerful. Mass transit doesn't do that either.
Not to mention, why park if you can make it drive around forever?
If the law doesn't force you to do it, no reason for you to. You must be American.
I retract that.
You're a total asshole.
Which is precisely why I lol'd when I read Musk claim he has been calling for regulation.

Powerful people don't use mass transit, therefore there is no priority on mass transit.

No concrete barriers in the ocean?

This. Why should he have to quit his job because his manager is completely incompetent? That's total bullshit.

While all the Uber drivers have their friends book rides and give them 5 star ratings.

Since all Uber drivers are so wealthy, they could just offer ten dollars in exchange for a good rating.
You can lead a horse to water....

Tesla has a HUGE lead in rapid charging stations
That's why I will be staying with ICE for quite some time. When I buy an ICE car, I don't have to worry about who has the 'lead' in filling it.
the picture i saw had it shorter and much wider than a normal smartphone, opening like a book.
Then why is everything we talk about on Slashdot so limited in scope and functionality?

Oh no! Britain won't be able to have their own car that slams into concrete barriers.
That's great, except that my company wants me to make iOS apps.
