We have to do our quota of 1 negative Uber-bashing story per day.... so don't u go and looking into any facts...
Brought to you by our friendly Lyft sponsors:)....
If it turns out Trump is innocent on any collusion, or only guilty of minor misconduct because he didn't stop and think, it wont have made most stories about it "fake".
It kind of does make it fake news. It's like a little sparrow craps on your shoulder, and then all MSM write articles for a year everyday that X is covered in shit. If this is ok then some have lost all sense of proportion.
I totally know what you mean, they should also put the bastards that made the shoes of the criminals on trial !oneone I really believe there would be far less crime if they had to go barefoot.:)
Lyft and Uber are large enough to fight city hall.
Which is a good thing, specially when city hall is corrupt as hell as in most places on Planet Earth.
If city hall manages to ban Uber, no problem, some competitor app will emerge (as it has here). The market is already formed, no going back.
The markets have never been able to work when left alone. The faith that they will, this time, is misguided.
You must be joking. Markets work just fine when left alone. *You* might find the outcome not exactly comfortable, but they work peachy.
Why don't you just come clean and say that you never understood a free market, that would be the honest thing to do. Hint: plan your next honeymoon in Venezuela, might help.
Either you are okay with government intervention and you nationalize everything, or you let the "invisible hand of the free market" coming up with a solution.
I beg your pardon kind sir, but where else in reality do you see this all-or-nothing phenomenon manifest itself ? Casinos? So if I believe in the free market I can't believe in govt intervention in *any* case ??? Reductio ad absurdum.
Again, i know it was. I consciously replied a non-joke to a joke. That just happend. Probably a sign of old age when you think too many jokes and not sufficient non-jokes.
Sorry but for a lot of people it is exactly that sort of tribal us-vs-them mentality. How else do you explain so much of they idiocy that goes on today? I agree that this is a monumentally stupid way to view the world but it's the world we live in at the moment.
As you've said, I can explain it by 1.stupidity and 2.you-doing-it-wrong. I would say nothing new under the sun, we have always lived in this world (or far worser ones).
I would objectively caution anyone from geting on the "remove X from office at once !111." wagon short of a literal smoking gun, this can lead to the other side thinking ok next time first chance we get we stuff your guy even if Jesus Christ. I am in the same situation in my country where I would like elections tomorrow but rationally this is not fair, the rules are the rules.
This right here is the wrong way to think about politics. Politics is not i-hate-that-guy-thus-everything-he-says. In grownup-world a not-so-decent person can do good politics (jfk?) and a likable person can do bad policy (ob?). This is not sports where your team is your team unconditionally. Those who would try to make you *feel* it's your team vs others team are using you as cattle.
True about the IP laws, but fake news about the others. Little regulation doesn't mean no regulation. If a patient offers to be experimented on (with resonable facts presented) then no law should have greated sovereignty to say different.
If you equate religion == power/control then indeed every election and war is about religion.
If you don't, then ww1/ww2/chinese-revolution were not about about religion.
By "russian investors" you mean KG&B Inc. ?
"no less than nine US government agencies" -- so if everybody else does it then all good. Not to pick on anybody specifically but w.t.f...
He is leftist by the way but I don't think that matters.
I would argue that it does matter. There are exceptions to everything, but statistically speaking I would say it makes a huge difference. You either understand and appreciate the scientific method, or you don't...... If you want other people to believe what you believe that is called religion, not fact.
Yep, i remember some French newspapers from around that period which were like "omg minority rights....poor gypsies discriminated in the east."
mod parent up.
But why won't you think of all the children that would have worked in the buggy whip industry !. You monster taking away jobs from the buggy whip artisans.
If by that you mean free market negociation then yes....
On subject: This exact thing happend years ago in our country (Eastern Eu), which led to very good connection speeds. Unfortunately the big ISPs bought the smaller networks but the net effect is that the high speeds became standard as consumers were demanding them. This is real world what happend, not some theory.
Big LOL, giving France as a good example is like giving Greece as example of easy living:)))).
France's economy is not super competitive (bar some fields ofc). Or do you mean those taxes that sent Depardieu to live in Russia ?
You do realise minimal != no-government. Gov can compete in the free market all it wants, and is welcome to. Problem is most times it fails to keep up. Mostly what it should do is *FOSTER* competition. Like exactly the opposite of what is happening there.

So you are saying "prove a negative" or else positive by default ? LOL...

Thanks, i've never heard about Fairbairn before, but seems i hit the nail on the head when I said grownup-world.

yes I did, and i knew you were half joking. I didn't mean you specifically. Many think like that.

Trump-haters: pussier than ussies. :) my spelling might not be accurate.
If you equate religion == power/control then indeed every election and war is about religion. If you don't, then ww1/ww2/chinese-revolution were not about about religion.
I actually do not think...
See, you could have stopped right there.
We do the thinking for you, peasant.

"Socialism" from the bottom up.

...social media is people.
Yes, but people can learn to be either good or evil.
Except those who can't. Dum dum dum duuuuum.

So, you thing the "country" should provide you with everything you need, and tie your shoelaces on your way to kindergarten ?
