Isn't this just a big expensive iPod touch now?

Depends on how you spin it. I look at it as an eBook reader with an awesome web browser, GPS, WiFi, 3G, local storage, a MP3 player and access to the thousands of apps in the app store. Which, personally, is exactly what I've been waiting for to hit the market to handle my eBook and casual browsing needs. I'm sure I'm not alone here.

The problem though is the price. I am not sure if the price is worth the equipment since you can get a netbook for much cheeper that can do more. Though if they dropped the price to around $200 USD I would but one in the next couple of days.

I don't understand your point. You can use iTunes for OSX or Windows and subscribe to the podcasts and than just synch them to your iPhone/iTouch. This seems to be the way to accomplish this with the least amount of problems.

I agree, it's time for there to be a shock to the politicians of this era. The founders of United States gave us the right to own weapons not for the purpose of hunting. As Thomas Jefferson stated “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” Right now there had been enough blood from our patriots, I believe it is time to get some blood from the tyrants.

The charges themselves are not vague, they spell it out for you. Criminal nuisance is basically creating a mob situation. Endangering the welfare of a minor such as knowing that there are minors in the crowed and still create a mob situation. Finally obstructing government administration should be pretty obvious but I can explain it for you since it is vague. How about getting in the way of the police and not helping them stop the mob you created. These are the crimes that he was charged with. I weep for our education system if you are a example of it. Vague is not a word to be used by the ignorant. Try again?

I agree with this point in that the ability to have fair use and other unregulated uses of a copyrighted work has allowed for some of the most memorable moments in our childhood and adult life. The biggest example is SNL in how they tend to make light of the many forms of entertainment in today's society. It is a sad day when creators of content are not going to be able to make jokes about a tv show or movie. For that matter it could be soon that parodies regarding people in the news and such are going to be under copyright protection.

I agree with your points, that is what I was getting at with the question. Microsoft is really pushing it a little to far when it comes to placing .new code in a third party application. The problem is that with most microsoft code there are going to be bugs throughout it, this is even more so when dealing with a third party application like firefox. I think they should stick to their os and leave the rest to others because they end up causing more issues than they solve.

Not saying it's user proof, but the concept of it is easier to understand for the average user. In a linux os there is a lot more available to the user but the problem is that because of that there is also more ways to cause accidental harm. The problem is the with Mac OS X you have almost no real power when it comes to what you can do with the system besides what the creators wanted and in linux you have too much. Windows is far from perfect and in fact I hate it most of the time. The point is that for the average user windows provides a system where there is still the ability to have some control but at the same time there are safety rails.

Your argument is the same as "Post Hoc ergo propter hoc". You say that just because one can that other's can, which isn't always true. Now I do not use M$ software myself because I find there to be problems that should be fixed, but there are a lot of people who just have neither the time to deal with linux nor do they have the technical experience. Yes, there have been advances especially with Ubuntu but the problem is that there is still not enough safety measures in place to make it user proof.

Yes, except that most of the world is using M$ as their OS. They still have the largest market share on computers, especially in the US. Though I am still confused as to why M$ would need to have an addon for Firefox. Doesn't it seem a little odd that the company that is competing for market shares in the web browser area would create a addon for a competing company?
