    1) Non-US citizens doing crimes on American soil does make you subject to US laws.
    2) The thing is here it looks like he's being charged with trying to ACTIVELY HACK US computers on US soil.
    3) If the MSM tries to break into your house to steal your papers, then yeah, it's a crime.
    4) I believe he has explicitly claimed to be a journalist.

  6. Meh, we're required to exercise due care with documents but I don't think they can be liable for acts like this, unless they were really negligent in securing them. We're not expected to be infallible, just not too stupid or careless.

  7. I'm not prejudging them, I'm saying that in my expert opinion it is far more likely than not that these documents will be boring and pointless, and if such is the case the law firm should not pay any ransom.

    The thing is, it's not like we don't have, even now, people from the generations before and after boomers and we notice the difference. Boomers are uniquely narcissistic and greedy in a way that their parents, and their children (and grandchildren), are not.

    Eh, I live in South Florida and I love it. If every several years I have to evacuate for a few days, it's worth the 73 F, breezy nights in January. Honestly, evacuations themselves are often overkill, and local governments down here I think are swinging more around to the idea that a lot of people should just stay where they are located. Your standard concrete block building can handle hurricane force winds, even at Cat 5.

    So looking at his Wikipedia page, he doesn't sound like an amateur mathematician if he has a degree in computer science. Interestingly, he seems like an amateur biologist in the sense that he was self-taught and awarded a PhD based on a book he wrote based on that self-teaching.

    I miss it a bit. The interface was head and shoulders above iOS or Android, and performance was amazing on low-end hardware.

    I do not miss having access to 95% of the apps that I wanted.

    Cite? Immigration laws and regulations tend to be very particular about what kind of degree you need. And even STEM PhDs can be turned down if they don't have the right skillset/publication record.
