"I suspect that they are desperately digging hard for anything to hit Trump with. "
They don't have to dig very hard. This is a man who told his supporters to beat up peaceful protestors. He is the worst candidate in American presidential history.
Assange doesn't even REALLY believe he's a target of America. If he did he would stop leaking this stuff.
Anyone else remember when wikileaks said it would release documents about Russia? Then the Russian security service threatened them publicly? And then they haven't released any anti-Russia stuff since? Assange even removed anti-Russian documents from the Syria release.
"you're naïve enough to believe that V. Putin and Russia truly giving Snowden asylum based on strictly humanitarian reasons."
Of course not. He's doing it to stick it to the US. I'm sure Snowden moderates what he says about Russia, but he still criticizes them.
A warrant isn't "evidence." Snowden, whether you agree with him or not, seems to think he was doing the right thing for our country. The existence of a "moral imperative" is a subjective judgment.
The hilarious thing is Trump supporters will believe the stupidest, most easily disproven conspiracy theories about Clinton, but insist that the well-supported fact that Russian hackers are messing with the election is a crazy conspiracy.
He may have been asked, but I would not be surprised if he refused. Snowden seems to be earnest. Assange, on the other hand, is clearly a spineless Russian tool.
I had a Windows phone and the OS was head and shoulders above its mobile OS competitors. Intuitive and fast interface, and amazing performance for the hardware. Unfortunately there was an astonishing lack of apps, so I had to switch back to android.
It was kind of 1995 in reverse: I gave up a better Windows-based OS for an inferior Linux-based one because the Linux-based one had better commercial software support.
There seems to be a definite correlation between technical ability and lack of empathy. It's not totally determinative; there are plenty of technical people who are deeply compassionate. But on average? Probably noticeably less than the population as a whole.
I know, slashdot, M$, BSOD, blah blah blah, but I see them around plenty. I have a Surface 4 and I love it, and even some of the Mac websites were conceding that it's actually a pretty slick machine. And not just targeting you, but it's so weird when Linux and Mac fans both argue that sales figures are probative of quality, considering Mac's pre-2000 history, and Linux's entire history.
Where was it documented? Don't say the DNC leak, please link to a single DNC email that actually shows "fraud," and not "some DNC staffers found the Sanders campaign offputting."
"In fact, these are issues that are brought up daily by users here on Slashdot:"
Eh, Slashdotters hate politicians, especially Democratic politicians.
If they don't do X they're useless, if they do do X they're only doing it for the wrong reasons, etc. etc..
At this point the music industry basically has been pushed into selling any song you want DRM-free for a dollar. They still screw with musicians, but at this point I think there's not much more that can be improved for the consumer.
1) The USA can just say "Give me that guy". And have his head handed over on a plate.
If he's handed over it will be after years of extradition proceedings, involving significant due process, which is the exact opposite of how you characterize it.
2) The nation of which you are national will not lift a finger to help you.
See above.
3) That a stupid copyright issue is the reason for all this. In this case.
He didn't burn a CD for his mom. He ran a huge organization with billions of visitors and tens of millions of dollars, with most of that coming from sharing copyrighted materials.
4) That and more means there is no place on Earth safe from the corporate greed propagated by the USA.
I don't think it is; the article doesn't say kernel, and ends with "Do you use any Linux-based operating system? Share your experience with it. What changes would you want to see in it in the next five years?" I mean inviting criticism of the kernel wouldn't really be productive I think, unless you are a kernel hacker yourself or a developer or sysadmin who has an issue with some technical aspect of the kernel that affects your work.
That is completely false. She was never given immunity and the grants of immunity don't impact the emails at all.

You are a liar.

Thank you for proving my point.
If you can't afford a $600 EpiPen, buy a $144 Adrenaclick. Only if you can't afford that do you go for the homebrew.
Actually that's a very good point that I hadn't really thought of.
There seems to be a definite correlation between technical ability and lack of empathy. It's not totally determinative; there are plenty of technical people who are deeply compassionate. But on average? Probably noticeably less than the population as a whole.
Seems kind of silly for them to make his pay a metric for the cost of an investigation, particularly a fairly important investigation like this one.
You don't know what you're talking about. If slashdot says these 20-somethings were coordinating DDoS attacks in the 1970's I for one believe them.
Eh, this is basically the average slashdot poster: https://www.penny-arcade.com/S...

How dare the government...be a small Italian company.
Linux has a built-in security feature in that things like flash hardly ever work correctly, so it's less likely to be installed.

Yes, America invented greed. And copyright law.
"he said, urging people to "buy bitcoin while cheap, like right now, trust me..."
Well it's a somewhat novel pump n' dump scheme, I'll give him that.

I am going to steal that line.
