And all their phones are at least 2 years out of date on the OS. HTC has the WORST track record for pushing out OS updates.
Wrong, Sony took the title in 2012 with it's new models. Don't even mention new Android versions - they even stopped giving out bug fix releases after 6 months of Xperia Sola release date.
What if I work for your Random Fortune 500 Co and execute the modified GPL application on my workstation. Do you have to provide me the source code if I ask you to? Does GPL allow me to take the program and it's source with me when I leave the company?
I completely agree. Just yesterday I was replacing another old machine with a new one at a small business and was forced to Windows 7. This meant reinstalling all the business-specific software and exporting-importing the data to the new machine, which took around 3 hours. Add to that setting up mail clients, office and other smaller programs and you end with quite a bill for the company.
And the end result for the business? 0% increased productivity/business value (-X% for the first days of troubleshooting/getting used to the 7 UI). I guess everyone would've been happier if we could've paid 100 € for a new XP license when ordering the machine and simply copied the whole XP image onto the new machine.
Personally, I love Windows 7, but for many tasks there really isn't any real added value.
So it's normal that when stopping your car engine for a minute, you have to go open up the bonnet and turn some large crank or wait until the engine cools down to restart the engine?
I'm just saying that most other Windows applications have managed to bypass this nonsense...
I don't take this as a solution:
If Firefox did not shut down normally when you last used it, Firefox might still be running in the background, even though it is not visible. Restart your computer to see if the problem goes away.
It's strange that they've gotten away with it for so long. In most EU countries, each and every electronics shop states clearly that they offer a 2 year warranty to all retail clients, even if the manufacturer only provides one year. The retailers are simply obligated to take the extra risk and adjust their prices.
So now every small copyright infringement will lead to detainment until the decision has been reached as pirates are "highly more likely to flee the country"? Or at least the record labels would like to see it that way...

Well I checked the manual for Thomson TG784 and it seems that if I use WPA/WPA2, then WPS is enabled by default and can't be disabled. Maybe from CLI, but that's absurd...
Doest it cover all slide gestures, like slide to answer, decline? If not, then can't we just say that from now on nobody lock's their phones. They just use the sliding gesture to get to their home page?
I hate these long respawn times - you're having a great game and suddenly - woosh, it's gone, connection dropped! It takes forever to calm down and reconnect to the realm of dreams. Even when you eventually manage to, there are no dedicated servers and the maps are random, so you rarely end up playing the same good map that you got disconnected from...

This feature is a bit hidden under the wrench -> About Google Chrome.
There you are, saved you 10 seconds of thinking time that you have wasted by now reading this comment.
What about people with weak hearts... They would survive one hit, but what if some triggerhappy cop gives 10 shots to a big person with a weak heart? Not so non-lethal anymore...

My insights often come when I sit down on the toilet.
Not sure what's up with that, but I'd suggest directing the next study towards test subjects in toilets.

Or kill it from the Task Manager.
Or wait until your disk drive light dies down...

Hope they fix the running process error before going any further, it's the next most annoying thing after WinRAR's evaluation period!

Sounds familiar?
"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
I'm just too fast for this FF!
I don't get it - how can they get highly educated people to even consider working on a patent like this? My motivation would be -100 on a scale of 10.
Only the likes of Sheldon Cooper with superior intellect to the others' may understand this.

It's like the Y2K bug all over again when Grub 2 reaches 2.00. Hope they get it sorted out before new Grub version has to be released.
It's all about bringing the Caspian Sea Monster back to life on dry land!
You have been warned.

That's just astronomical, so it should do.
It will be in Apples playbook when someone publishes an app for installing the 'cool new OS' without any hassle.
And I thought my computer was going crazy with Eclipse crashing every 30 minutes.
Does this mean that Prius will now go 2 miles instead of 1.5 on batteries.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
