Well, I see it all the time. Through Syracuse, NY Route 81 is a 3 lane highway. I constantly see people driving in the left hand lane then at the last second flying across all three lanes to get off the exit. That's definately not safe.
Then there are the assholes who change lanes abruptly without using their blinkers, or that guy from out of state driving 10 miles under the speed limit in the left hand lane. Where do these people learn to drive?
I see so much stupid driving daily its just plain scary...and my insurance payment is the same as my car payment. I'm 24, have had my license since I was 17, and have a clean record.
Sharp Velo 500, but it would be better with a PCMCIA Slot or some other sort of WiFi. IrDA is a joke, and the 115k serial connector is just another wire I don't need.
Save some money and hop on over to Cheapbytes, they have a wonderful linux keyboard with the Tux key. Just remember, we don't need no steenkin hot keys.
YES! I agree! I miss my old Motorola Tele Tac, and even my v120e phones. The Tele-Tac was great. A number pad, Send and End....that's it! Like my cordless phone on my desk.
Then there was the v120e. Didn't send Text messages, play games, etc, but it worked everywhere my new phone doesn't, and provided a simple phone book.
Bring back, oh bring back bring back my 120e to me.
If you want to throw off the spammers that put your mane in your E-Mail, put dots in your E-Mail address. I get all kinds of messages addressed to A, and know immediately to hit the Junk button on Thunderbird.
As far as the Quiz goes, I got one wrong, cause I didn't notice it was https://secure-paypal.com/ rather than https://secure.paypal.com/
Then again Firefox didn't show the Mouseover text for the links so I was sifting through HTML.
Honestly, I think they are jumping the gun suing before the courts have ruled on their copyrights. I imagine AutoZone could countersue for extortion if SCO loses the copyright case. They should start the procedings now, maybe it would keep SCO in their place for awhile.
It was a hot summer night, her and I were parked up in the mountains where we could see the town and beautiful lake below. After a wonderful night out on the town, what more could I expect? It was our fourth date, and she had already hinted towards a number of sexual innuendos. As I sit there letting my mind wander, I can feel her breath upon my ear getting warmer and warmer, but she is not going any further.
After 5 minutes of feeling her breath on my eat and anticipating the expected tongue, I realize that she is trying to say something to me. Perhaps she is trying to arouse me with sweet talk, or informing me to take my clothes off.
I decide to turn my hearing aid up to find out that she thinks I'm a fucking prick and she wants to go home because I don't listen to her.
Some (factory) alarms go off if you use your key instead of the remote... So, yeah, you can get into your car with they key, but then you either have the alarm going while your driving home, or you can't start your car.
How sad.
If you use remote entry systems, you support terrorism.
Wnen are they going to patent the system crash? I'm getting so sick of people copying that idea to other systems!
Maybe they could end of life the product (Crashes, DirectCrashes, Crashes#, Visual Crashes, Crashes CE, Crashes XP, Embedded Visual Crashes and Crashes.net), that ought to stop the crashes just like it stops the worms from spreading...
DOS Batch files can do looping just fine, and Errorlevels are made so you can respond to errors. You simply execute your command, tes the error level and go to the appropriate label. There are also do and while loops in DOS Batch files.
DOS is a true RTOS. If you want mission critical and fast, DOS does it. It can boot up in seconds, it's fault tolerant (reboot=fixed) and had full direct hardware access.
I have run a lot of operating systems. QNX claims to be an RTOS, Windows CE Claims to be an RTOS, neither are as responsive as DOS.
There is no stupid hour glass in DOS. Batch files make automation a piece of cake, and you don't need a degree in Computer Science to write one.
There are players for all your wonderful media types available. There are also a number of classic game emulators (Genesyst, Nesticle, etc.) available as well.
So, next time that video poker game sitting on the counter at your local bar goes kaput, just remember, it's still running DOS.... turn it off (unplug it?) and turn it back on, you'll doo the next poor drunk a big favor.
With how hard it is to install most of the Linux software I have used, I doubt there would be a worm that infects more than a string of Linux distibutions.
Broadband and Dialup will never be in the same price range (unless your AOL and still charging people $6 less than Verizon DSL for Dialup) because the broadband service has shown that it's accepted market price is $29 to $50 a month. The fact that it's market share keeps increasing at these prices shows that people have accepted this as the going rate. Same with CDs, people keep buying so the industry has no incentive to lower the price.
Look at the Rolling Ruler. It never really sold for $19.95 on TV, so they lowered the price to $9.95, it still never sold, now you see it in Dollar Stores nationwide...barely selling. The demand for the previously mentioned prices was too low, so the price got lower and lower.
So, if people keep buying broadband for it's current price, which they are, the cable and DSL companies have no reason to lower the price.
Want them to lower the price? Boycott all broadband for a few months, put up with dialup. When they ask why you are cancelling your service, say it's too expensive. They will lower the price to compete with dialup, because they want market share. It's better to have a smaller cut of the money for something you invested in than to have none of it.
I hope this thing comes to market. Then Fails, Think Dreamcast Folks!
It's likely to be cheaper than an iPaq, and if it has USB (which makes me wonder how you get the games onto the 20GB Hard Drive) you can plug a USB Mini Hub into it for Keyboard/Mouse and have a sweet little Linux Box... or even a portable Emulation System....The possibilities look appealing.
Arrgh! But I don't think you'd want to try word processing on a 4" screen.
You must be talking about the New Yorkers who can afford to not work, and travel. They are a pain in the ass too.

You need a Philips Velo 1 with Linux. I haven't tried this on my 500, but I'm sure it would run better....but the Velo 1 had a PCMCIA slot.

I used to have a 200LX. It was a nice little machine. Sold it on eBay a year or so ago.
Oops, yes. Philips Velo. Sorry....long day of work before posting last night.

So you want to know about lock picking?
There is this wonderful site that has a great article about it: http://home.howstuffworks.com/lock-picking.htm

That's why I keep a hammer, Dremel and Sawzall in my PC Toolbox. I like those old CGA cards.

IBM Drives are pretty quiet...
Really? My ST225 still runs just fine.
;-)
Granted it only holds 20 Mb of data and needs an MFM controller but it's still a good drive.
