Ergo, if Qt is more widely used outside of kde, perhaps we'll see some of my favorite applications able to run without loading all the kde libraries and helper apps.
This is a statement I also agree with. I personally think KDE is ugly and too windows like.
Child: Not able to tell that 'murder' is a bad idea.
I think the first point is a good one. No one wants to blame the direct issue, such as HOW DID HE GET ACCESS TO A GUN? The other two points are also adequate as there is an indication something is not right with the situation.
If the Melendez brothers can get convicted after killing their parents after being abused - this case is surely a little more cut-and-dry IMHO. He will probably be convicted. This is a repeated scenario every 5 years or so and the result is usually the same in the court of law.
Let's go over some of the tried (and failed) situations:
- Teens try to kill themselves, blame Judas Priest - Columbine, kids blame FPS games and Bully's - Menendez brothers plot and shoot parents, blame abuse - A multitude of others.
You can't blame the parents fully in any of these situations. Obviously they weren't able to effectively parent in this case, but they didn't shoot themselves. Call me a hard-ass, but I think the legal responsibility lies with the teen. I'm quite certain that's how it will play out in court. The world will then continue to turn and FPS games will continue to come out, be purchased and played... after millions of dollars of legislation and some new stickers or warnings on the game packaging.
... if it used "properly". By that, I mean to get an idea of where to put the person. However, to judge the "quality" or "employability" of someone based on these personality profiles is not a smart idea IMHO.
Any "good" can be translated as a "bad" (and vice versa) depending on the environment and situation one is put in. I think any good company needs a range of diverse people and those people need to be placed in the appropriate environments. This could mean something as simple as the right manager, or not giving someone who is scattered mundane tasks... or the like.
These tests really should be in place to better understand your fellow employees. Unfortunately, I doubt the metrics from these tests are not used responsibly in many places.
Amusingly, I scored slightly above normal in the hostility department (my inward reaction to that was "Who you callin' hostile, m___f___r?"). But they took all that in stride and offered me a job, which I didn't take.
You made me almost fall out of my chair. Funny stuff...
That's a problem for a distributed version control system such as git. Using a real-time collaboration tool such as Google Docs could increase costs by $700 per person per year, as people outside the office would need to use 3G data plans to view and edit the document online instead of updating at the next Wi-Fi hotspot.
I don't think that's entirely true. We use something like this at work and you basically "check out" a document and then check it back in when done editing. This, of course, means only one person at a time can modify at once. This is similar to (the same?) CAD Model servers.
What kind of software patches increase screen resolution?
Damnit, I wish you wouldn't have shown me that link. Now I can't stop playing. >8^)

Gun: Accessible to a minor.
Addiction: Not dealt with until far too late.
