    We have no way of knowing whether or not an animal has given consent. And there are several mentally unstable patients who would be unable to give consent to marriage as well.

    Suppose we enact a law prohibiting people from eating meat. Vegetarians would not complain since they're not affected. Yet the meat banning law is applicable to the entire population - equal treatment. No discrimination against meat eaters at all...

    Apple should do what is good for users and what is right. This is neither good for users, nor is it right. It's not about legality or illegality. People shouldn't do business with companies that take advantage of the system unfairly.

    Not sure about this. If I install programs on my PC, they can access all my files. I want it that way. It's my job to ensure that I only install from known sources and run software that I trust. Why should phones be any different?

    It's irrelevant in any case because the employee did not hear her say it. And that's the only case either. Here's another:

    "A second Iranian American interviewed in the report also said he was barred from purchasing something at an Apple store in the Atlanta area when he was helping an Iranian student buy an iPhone. Zack Jafarzadeh said he and the friend were speaking Farsi when the sales rep denied their purchase. "We never talked about him going back to Iran or anything like that," Jafarzadeh said, according to the report."

    Because he is the one who has to prove his case. The burden of evidence is on him. Innocent until...etc etc. Moreover, this is not the only incident.

    Excellent. Except that the shipper/buyer DIDN'T say that. The employee had no idea what the destination of the iPad was.
