    FBI and other US officials like the 'Operation 4:00AM knock on the door' better. at 6:00AM, some people are actually you know, already awake to start their day. Much less likely at 4:00AM; Path of least resistance.

    Do you use your Fedora install in an AD Enviroment and get proper resource/permission/authentication? What packages properly handle the translation from AD permissions to the Linux level of permissions? Only projects I' can find for AD on Linux are old as RMS himself, or too expensive for one laptop out of 400 in a company.

    $99 for a partial Office suite, could be seen as a good investment. Until next year, when your new investment is no longer compatible with the latest OS/hardware shit being pushed. Then it's another $99 to upgrade. (Rinse, Repeat.)

    I tried so hard to get used to E16, and get it running stable on Debian wheezy... but it just wasn't in the cards for me. I'd love to give it another shot, but I don't want to fuck up the system I'm using right now without a way to get back to it if E16 does fuck up again.

    A dedicated county/city wide server farm would probably be easier to manage and update than a per-school server rack.

    Americans will generally only read news articles that are of interest of something pertaining to them or their general situation. Iran issues, to Americans, probably don't mean much of anything. Angry birds on the other hand.... now THAT is the stuff that matters. Nothing more than a poor attempt of Fox to garner page views from readers.

    We're only stopped by rather stiff penalties in doing so.

    The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world. If stiff penalty stopped criminals, then we wouldn't have a need for prisons.

  25. I second the Clevo/Sager laptops being awesome. I currently have a Sager NP5175 ordered through XoticPC.com . The laptops are a bit pricier than the standard off the shelf junk you get elsewhere, but there's a reason for it. The build quality is pretty damn good, sturdy machines, and you get way more for your money in terms of hardware. XoticPC is spot-on in terms of a reseller, and customer service. This Np5175 also has great battery life, normally lasting for me around 3 1/2 hours on average.
