They take 1 picture, once (a year?)... They blur the faces they "unintentionally" catch *AND* they remove any picture, should anybody complain about it.
If my daughter would pose naked by a window in a ground floor during the day, my biggest concern would not be google's cam car;)
I ask 2 questions in my post, and after I voluntary my *opinion*.
When I say "If I" and "I use", it means I'm sharing *my* opinion. I'm not asking or stating that I'm right or wrong. I'm just telling what *I do* - *if* you know how to read English...
I believe that for this to work, a very, very high % of the population would have to be inoculated.
I hope we are not risking creating a "strand" of mosquitoes that can "smell" the poisonous blood from a human and prefer to feed on the next one that is safe.
Is it that different from you walking down the street and take pictures yourself? Is it against the law? If I don't want people peeking inside my house, I use blinds;)
It must be really worth it for these big companies to risk millions in fines to making competition suffer.
I always wondered if they really make that much more money (after the fine) or if what they really are after is the destruction of the competitor (AMD in this case)...
One already looks quite idio^H^H^H^H funny when playing wii with just one (or two) remote(s)... Imagine if you have to wiggle your whole body to play a game. Hi hi!...
A *lot before* the end of life of windows 7 rc, there will be issued a crack/hack/patch/activator, a pirated version or whatever will be... And MS will allow it because is in their best interests.
Ever experienced anything different? Why would it be different now?
Yet another small article that doesn't say anything about anything. Just a couple of conjectures and ideas that have already been exposed and commented a long time ago.
Well, I'm running Windows 7 (both 32 and 64 bits) plus my old XP, in my computer. The XP was not free, but the Win7 RC were. They even gave me the activation number and they will only expire next year Heh
Win7 has one VERY ANNOYING thing (I was told that Vista has that missing "feature" too): It doesn't show the free disk space in the explorer's status bar... Now I'm using Directory Opus instead. M$ made me go back to my Amiga times. Nostalgia...:)
I read once about a "museum" from some fanatic creationist that put human beings and dinosaurs together in the same period. I hope they don't get their hopes up with this piece of news;)
I had some problems with some OSs that believed they were smarter than the user (me) (a brand that looks like a fruit comes to mind). It was difficult to convince it to do exactly what you were asking. If a system is that "smart", I think a part of its flexibility may be at risk...
(I'm not saying that *any* OS I currently use can do exactly what I had in mind, all the time;)
All Star Trek games are always just rip-offs from other games, just switching the story a bit and replacing the characters with Star Trek characters.
They should look at the Star Wars franchise. Lucas Arts and the Jedi Knight's series were just amazingly well done imho.
Star Trek as so much possibilities, but no one seems to take advantage of it...
I remember (as a good Trekkie) to have tried every single trek game, and always being disappointed.
I remember playing the demo of "DS9-The Fallen". The demo was quite nice, but with only 1 level. When I got the real game I couldn't find that "demo" level, and the game was not that good (at all)...
(It's probably due to the bad management from the franchising that has been destroying it since before "Enterprise"...)
I always used to have AMD in the past 10 years, but now I own an i7.
I am not a fanboy of any brand, but I have to say that we NEED AMD.
I hope they get better and better, or WE (the consumers) are going to suffer with yet another monopoly (that is always very dangerous for us, mere mortals)...
AMD is keeping intel on it's toes and keeping the prices lower. It is acomplishing the same in relation to nVidia.
"Good enough computers" maybe a term that small/medium companies are using even today. But, what about the average joe?
I have a 26" monitor that I adore, and I had to upgrade my graphics card to be able to use it in all it's 1920x glory. I have an old AMD 4000+ and I run XP because with Vista, it just crawls. I am inclined to upgrade the rest of the system as from a few months ago, some HD movies are just unwatchably slow on my machine. When I bought it almost 4 years ago, I thought it would be enough for a loooong time: but it was a self deceiving thought I always knew was wrong... I also do some video editing from my family's birthday parties and x-mas, and I have to admit that the newest software is demanding more power. The capabilities of software is always connected to the capabilities of the hardware, and I can't imagine this any other way... Not in such a short period of time as by 2025.
15 years ago (ok, give or take a couple of years) windows 95 was available, as was linux. I think we could try to extrapolate what will happen in 15 years time...
I'm sure that, by that time, Windows, linux and a lot of other OSs will still be around, we will need the extra power to do a lot of things we don't think about right now, but when they appear, we suddenly can't live without them (as usual)...
Vibrators are soooo last century... Bring it on - the new sensory sex toys ;)
BOSS - What do you know about computers?
- Well, receiving emails, sending emails, clicking, double clicking, the internet... The list goes on...
BOSS - What is that under my table?
- The... hard... drive(?)...
BOSS - Of course! You got the job!
If your man/woman wants to be sure you love her/him and suggests you a fMRI (as usual), I suggest you do the following:
- Think about Angelina (or Brad Pitt) when you are supposed to think about him/her;
- Think about him/her when you are supposed to think about Angelina's (Brad's) nice curves ;)
...but this "piece of news" sounds like one of those digg thingys: "The top 10 nintendo games played by my nephew during the summer holidays".
Worst than that, it's just based on the opinion of those who wrote it... (Spam?) Sorry for being honest. It's just not even interesting to read TFA!
Despite what Cypher says in Matrix, ignorance is *not* bliss.
If this still happens to sites like this, it's a good lesson for those idiots to learn the power of the backup (me included he, he!).
If you get this new one, you'll have to start doing the same, m8! ;)
You are totally right.
The worst-case scenario would be for the mosquitoes to quickly develop immunity over the "poisonous" blood.

Do they have death penalty?
If you think this is a "big mast"...
Any average tall adult could take pictures that high...

"Nothing to see here. Move along..."
The FDA can't even tell the cosmetic industry to stop including toxic ingredients in their products (like lead, formaldehyde, 1,4-dioxane, etc)
How this intelligent gentlemen gets to this conclusion gets me a bit confused...

I thank them...

Just install a some VM with XP or Vista on it, and run as many programs as you want. It's just one application...
I wounder if it could be used to make a multi tera holographic x-ray storage device...
