  1. lack of return spaces on 5th Obfuscated Perl Contest Winners · · Score: 2

They should demand that each semi-colon has a return character- it obfuscates obfuscation! Any code can be made 'unreadable' in this manner.REAL code obfuscation is a fine art, and I should be able to appreciate it on it's own terms.

I have had excellent service from www.dn.net, where they have dedicated servers for reasonable prices. And don't listen to the rest of the people here about reliability, if you have considerable investment in ASP, it is cheaper for you to set up an AT job that reboots the server once a week than to recode it in PHP. Our local ISP monmouth.com supposedly has good NT services as well. Good Luck!

I think that IP rights should be maintained in the same way that a trademark must be maintained. If a book, or cd, or software is no longer available for sale through reasonable means, IP ownership should move to the public domain.
To illustrate this point, Exxon still sells Esso oil at selected locations to maintain their trademark ownership.
This would prevent ideas from being 'locked up' by negligence.
