    It really is easier to quit- just halve the nicotine every time you buy juice and in a few weeks you are down to nothing. You are aware of being slightly uncomfortable but nothing like the 3 or 4 days of misery from cold turkey.

    Seattle isn't far behind in terms all the down sides of Silicon Valley.

    Really? It's 40 minute commute from Tacoma and there are tons of 200k houses there. It is not even close to being like SV.....

    Nice sentiment, except that the productivity gains of the last 100 or perhaps even 50 years has outstripped everything in human history combined. Geometric progressions like this are not sustainable and are guaranteed to end poorly for someone.

    I used to road race and used HRM etc and you have to work extremely hard to start seeing a reduction in resting heart rate, probably useless for 99% of people that are voluntarily exercising. Anyone doing elite fitness probably aren't going to be using the consumer stuff anyway.

    To provide distraction from the actual core of fitness which is hard work? You can buy something instead of actually exercising or what I call 'virtue purchasing'.
