  1. Thanks Slashdot for reminding me to cancel. on Netflix's US Catalog Has Shrunk by More Than 2,500 Titles in Less Than 2.5 Years · · Score: 1

This month they opted me in to the 4 screen plan at higher cost even though I only use a single screen at best a few times a month. It's not even worth figuring out how to get the single screen plan I am just going to cancel.

The logical thing to do would be to remove the ban on breeder reactors (Carter administration 70s) and just license France's designs which would get safe modern reactors up in a minimum amount of time. Unfortunately we don't do things logically in the US. Even if the prohibition was removed they would insist on creating new designs and running the gauntlet with the NRC- so 20 or 30 years out and that is being optimistic.

Was playing with drag and drop coding environments in the 90s with the promise they would eliminate coding. Nearly 20 years later there really isn't any such thing except for some specialized tasks. This makes me a bit skeptical that computers will replace programmers any time soon.

  10. "I've been driving for 25 years and have never been in an accident. People that get in accidents are careless and stupid. Their parents should have explained to them how to drive."

Besides being true(at least my driving history), saying something like this makes me sound like a pompous ass. Even more so when it applies to a video game controller that kids will use.

What do you mean by puts out? They do that by shrinking the die and creating a new fab, which is precisely what the article is talking about. Back in the day you could see a double or triple in clock speed with each iteration. You really think that Intel is sitting on a 10ghz i8 for business reasons?
