The thing is that once they are found the damage has already been done, the kids are f'ed up. Unless they get some heavy duty treatment (and you know that is not going to happen what with the absolutely crappy state of mental health in this country) they are very likely to do the same thing with their kids.

It is a vicious cycle, the abused become the abusers, and so on.

Besides, haven't you seen enough stories about teen runaways and abusive foster parents to know that we don't neccessarily catch these scumbags?

Putting these limits on video games ignores the actual cause of the problems with violent kids, HORRIBLE parents.

The problem with electrics is that the major car makers are too concerned with range. They could easily produce an inexpensive electric, but it would only get 100 miles range, they think their is no market for that.

Yeah driving a muscle car is fun, but it is just impractical for everyday use.

Personally I think that cars should be taxed directly proportional to their emissions, electrics will be 0 and then just keep going up, that way you can have your 250hp car (and all those yuppie morons can have their SUVs), but you will have to pay for it, you're polluting our air.

Because you cannot manage a group of systems with telnet and ssh easily. This looks nice. You have a list of systems in a window, you click a system then you can access various things about it. Then switch systems with a mouse click.

I have not used it so but from looking at the screenshots and glancing over the documentation they can probably have some monitoring capability to this too, a process goes down on one system and the icon flashes red. They can have a command to launch ssh or telnet for that system from within Olympus too.

These redirects are pretty weak, all you have to do is press back really fast, essentially hitting back before the redirect page redirects you. It is really easy to do, but then again maybe I just play too much minesweeper. *click* *click* *click*.... :)

Uggh, I am so sick of these supposed "scams". It says in the fine print all of the restrictions to these offers. (At least in the last year or so of Fry's ads I have looked at).

The only way that I would be sympathetic to the consumer is if they are either physically blind or nearly blind, whereby they cannot physically read the fine print. To the rest of these yahoos, tough luck, learn to read.

There was a story on Dateline a few days ago about a company who was selling credit card protection, claiming that you would be responsible if your card was stolen. Of course everyone knows that you are only liable for $50. But not these morons who were taken. Oh no, they are too good to actually read the terms of the card, where it says in plain english, YOU ARE ONLY LIABLE FOR $50. (In fairness I think the company who was actually selling this never really sold them anything, so they are wrong and should be stopped, however, I am sure that a company that would actually provide this sort of protection would be branded a scam by Dateline with little provocation).

This is the problem with the US, people are lazy, I mean LAZY. They expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter, when life actually requires you to think once in a while.

There is a sucker born every minute, but you can no longer take advantage of this in the US without getting busted. Sad, trying to fight Darwin tooth and nail.

This is what I find disturbing about music today. It is basically mass produced "fast food" music. It really doesn't take anyone special to perform it, just a good set of pipes and some nice T&A.

Ever watch that Making the Band crap on ABC? I caught a couple of episodes. It is disgusting. They are basically manufacturing an act. And they call that music?

They are entertainers, not musicians. They do not write their own music or lyrics. They do not choreograph their own dances.

I am just so sick of the constant stream of "bands" that consist of a singer(s) with a tape of some music in the background, there is a word for that, karaoke.

Go learn to write a song, go learn to play an instrument, go learn to live in a garage for a few years so you can create your music. Then I will listen, then I will respect you.
