California is in the middle of a hiring freeze for the State, and a huge deficit. Where exactly are they getting the money for these iPad projects for these districts, let alone for the rest of the State if they decide to advance it?
Sometimes saying gay just means something is lame, or whatever general purpose word you want to use to that affect. I know plenty of gay people (young and old) who use it in the sense of "That was pretty gay" to refer to things like movies and stuff that are awful.
While I agree that overall lifestyle does play a huge part in a lot of peoples weight and physical condition, there's a good chunk of it that simply is genetic. I've seen people who eat incredibly well and do very physical work put on a lot of weight, and there's a good amount of people out there (myself and a lot of my family included) who eat like shit and are thin as a rail. If anything though, lifestyle does tend to make you feel overall better physically, which I've noticed since I started volunteering at a zoo doing a lot of physical work after years as just doing computer tech work.
Eh, I try to avoid the award shows and news. I do tend to frequent the independent movie theater here though, and the one that serves beer and pizza and plays old sci fi movies more than traditional theaters though >.>
I haven't even heard of this movie. Maybe it did bad because it wasn't marketed well enough, or that it was just a crappy movie? There's a LOT of duds out there.
Orientation for a job I had as a security guard required this as an exercise during our two week training. It's an interesting exercise, and really gets you thinking.
It may be unethical to have students use a text book written by you, but it happens a fair bit. My political science class had a book written by the instructor, as did a programming class I took (though that one was easy enough to not use since the language was very publicly written about online). It's just another giant scam that adds to the college bullshit.
Yeah I've noticed this with a few different books. Last Java book I had to buy for school had an International edition that just had a forward that was a few pages long so the page numbers didn't line up, but everything else was spot on. Also cost about 100 dollars less and shipped from Malaysia:D
So do these new exceptions apply to the iPod Touch as well? I would assume so since it's the same app process, but RFA only mentioned phones. Also what about the Playstation 3 and how they don't allow Linux anymore, would this fall under this, too?
Interesting, but for other people:
WARNING! Site has music in the background. Don't open at work with your speakers up, like this retard did:p "She blinded me with SCIENCE!"
Just bought my PS3 last week, and excited to see they're still planning games and even more improvements for it instead of phasing it out already since they've been around a while.
Never had a malibu sunrise? It's pretty damn good.
Just nuke China. I'm tired of waiting for the new Fallout game.
I honestly don't care if people are offended or not, just posted so people who are at work aren't going to have a giant goatse ass on their monitor :p
Yeah I saw that article on /. too. Meh.
Worse than living there, I've worked for the State as an intern . laid off twice, ftw.

For those with less-than cast iron stomachs, that site is NSFW and _is_ goatse.

Those are also incredibly good movies. I just ordered them on Amazon after seeing it as a trilogy pack >.>

You, good sir, have made my day with this fun fact. If I had mod points (and you weren't an AC), I'd mod you up just for shits and giggles :P

Sailing out of the San Francisco bay in and of itself is a feat. Add crossing the pacific and it's utterly amazing. Great job to him.
Would that fall under this* *shudders* Using "this" twice in that sentence bugged me after rerereading it.

Shut up Meg - Peter

Yeah, it's more of I was dreading the idea of them announcing a PS4 or something :P

Worst part about that comic is I implemented that idea when I started working out... and it works :(
More like strong and bitter.
