You'll note that I did not use the term 'modern' anywhere in my post, because I do not accept that modern equates with an advance in technology.

Nor do I necessaritly accept that deisel engines represent a modern technological step.

It is a fine little engine though, and as I believe I've posted once before, I am currently doing some engineering consulting for a startup firm that intends to produce sports car 'specials' based around it, as well as promoting the use of biodiesl fuel (which may come as something of a shock to those who remember some of my posts about biodiesel. I am perfectly capable of pointing out the serious flaws in a concept and still be congnizant, and supportive, of its benefits. An engineer who cannot criticize is not merely worthless, but downright dangerous).

Stamped steel construction is more akin to Sputnik era technology than today's. It is, however, rather cheap to mass produce, and thus more likely to be inside of people's budgetary constraints

I suppose we could also debate what 'more' means. I do not believe it means 'identity.'

Yes, but it's the discussiont that must be held before your primary query can be addressed.

Look to your own household for examples, do you, for instance, drive a car that is the embodiment of Saturn V era technology (such as a Ford Taurus) or something more akin to today's level of technology (like a McLaren F1).

My guess is that budgetary issues took primacy before you even went out car shopping.

I'm sure a Kerry event in the same circumstances would not allow a t-shirt worn inside that said "Support Our Second Amendment Rights" or even the *same* shirt the ladies tried to wear to Bush's event.

This is incorrect, as has been put to the actual test.

McDonald's would have no case against someone who avers to liking Big Macs (alhtough their taste might well be in question), but if someone opened a diner and called their burgers 'Big Macs' McDonalds would, quite justifiably, come down on them like a ton of bricks.

Are you suggesting that SG has a history of getting all bent out of shape by people publicly recommending their site, or merely that they get bent out of shape by people reposting their pictures without permission?
