...except that it's gone wireless. I wonder if it's going to use the wireless networking in place of the link-cable. That was one feature of the PlayStation that I loved that never got implemented in too many games. If not, is it only going to work with newer games built for the portable, wireless PlayStation?
Isn't this the same thing that all of the Slashdotters are doing when they say "I'm not going to buy any movies from you, Fox, until you quit supporting the MPAA!"?
I see nothing wrong with such a tactic in either situation.
The US imports a lot of programmers from Canada, but only because of the shortage here and your proximity. We're also placing additional restrictions to keep most of the lamers up there.
I live in Charlotte. $128k is about in line for a decent 1500 sq. ft. home with about 1/3 acre of land. I wouldn't call Charlotte the unfashionable end of state. I live here and my brother is in RTP. RTP has more tech, and Charlotte has more banks (we bought San Francisco's) and culture. I think you'll see more Rolls Royces, Bentley's, and Corvettes here but more Ferrari's and Lambo's in RTP. Porsches are fairly popular in both places.
I recently used Napster to download all of the songs from Smashing Pumpkins' new CD entitled Machina. Once I had listened to the songs and liked them, I decided to buy the CD the day it was released -- which I did.
I have also discovered bands after downloading an MP3 of their songs. One fine example is Save Ferris. I downloaded their cover of Eileen from a Web site many months back and consequently purchased their CD titled It Means Everything (which contains said cover).
I began listening to Ben Folds Five after listening to their song Brick on the radio. After hearing Brick on the radio I bought their CD Whatever and Ever, Amen. I then began looking for other songs of their's on the Internet in MP3 format. I found copies of their songs Emaline and Alice Childress which prompted me to by their CD Naked Baby Photos (which contains said songs). When The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner came out on CD I bought it as well. Had it not been for MP3's my last Ben Folds Five CD would have probably been Whatever and Ever, Amen because it is the only one that got airplay around here. I'll probably buy the only remaining Ben Folds Five CD that I don't have, Ben Folds Five, once I see it for a reasonable price (less than $12).
I have over 300 CD's. (1.95GB worth of CD's) I have about 700MB of MP3's on my computer. Assuming that all of those MP3's are pirated (which is a big assumption, because I couldn't think of a single one that I don't own the CD for, downloaded from the band's Web site (Beastie Boys, Soul Coughing), or downloaded from MP3.com legally (Billy Idol, Peter Cetera, and many unknowns)), the percentage of pirated music in my household would be 0.35%.

Wow! All three of them suck! Amazing how poor minds think alike...

I buy most of the clothes that I wear from Gap.com. The really nice thing about it is that if I don't like something I can return it at the local Gap store. I haven't had to do that yet, however.

I wouldn't say that it's one language in the US anymore... I thought that I was going to learn Spanish the last time I went to the Department of Motor Vehicles. (they had a computer announce the next person's number & where to go in English, then Spanish)

I would say that Netflix is already better than its physical counterpart (Blockbuster). At least for me.
Not true! Lotus (Notes or cc:Mail) users running Windows could run the trojan horse side (over-written files, renamed files, WIN-BUGFIX.EXE torjan) of the e-mail but it just couldn't worm its way through the Internet -- unless Outlook was configured as well or they used mIRC.
"streaming internet radio stations" [SIC] also pay royalties to the copyright holders just as normal radio stations do, and as your local cover band is supposed to.

I thought Larry Elison (SP?) was the richest man in the world now???

You obviously do want them, eh?

So why are you all fleeing the country like rats off a sinking ship?

Canada is extremely desperate for anyone to move there. That is why they let all of the terrorists in.

What company are you going to be working for?
Does your company have any idea how old Q3A will be by the time the X-Box comes out?
Ancient!
They simply market & rebrand it.

One problem. Microsoft doesn't have Coke machines. They have coolers full of free drinks.

Notepad can be uninstalled. Internet Explorer cannot. This is the problem.
I want to use Windows (for now), I also want to be able to choose the sole browser for my system. I can choose the sole text editor for my system.
Wouldn't it be a third Internet company? Including IE, MSN, etc?
You should have the right to fair treatment in society until you forfeit it. As the man you speak of did.
You hire humans to do the burger flipping and one of the people on your lunch crew doesn't come in because he's sick.
I think they already have fully automated cow-killers. It's a conveyor belt with a skull-crushing pair of hammers at the end.
Why would they need to be good at cleaning out bathrooms? The current workers aren't.
