On behalf of Dr. Mbugo Mbongo and my late aunt Echsheluba Malabuatta, I want to say thank you. With out your wire transfer, we would not have been able to get her $73 million US estate transferred where we could put the money to good use helping the poor, undernourished children of the world.
Now if we could only get they mud-walled, thatch-roofed shack she owned sold, we would have all of those hungry children fed.
I stand corrected. It is cable-stayed for the Dames Point. But either way, both are rather impressive.
As for Jacksonville containing the most rednecks.. I can confirm that is wrong. Go a little ways outside of Jacksonville to places such as Hilliard and Callahan. Both are incorporated cities (I think, normally try to avoid these 2) that are 100% redneck and 1% the size of Jax.;)
The length of this bridge is quite impressive. The longest suspension bridge on record is the Dames Point (Napoleon Bonaparte Broward Bridge)in Jacksonville Florida that is about 2 miles long. It's span consisting of cables is only about 1/3 of the overall length (not sure how the whole bridge is considered suspension). This one apeears to be roughly 60% of the length of the Dames Point but is suspended cables the whole length. Seeing the Dames Point on a quite regular basis, I must say that one is very impressive.
Just for height comparisons, the Dames Point is about 425 feet (130m) high with the highest point over water being 175 feet (about 54m). Quite an accomplishment considering what it took to build this little thing.
The only window I know that is worth $45 is the one used to keep the snow out of my house during the winter. But seeing how I live in Florida, a $10 screen in the summer and a $5 sheet of plastic in the winter seem a better way to go.
If the code was copied wrong, how would it function? Could it be possible that a person wrote code similar to what another has done? I always thought that if code was wrong, the program would have problems. That could be why Linux users don't have the crash issues as Windows users. The code is not correct.
I am not in the legal field and have a question. If a company such as SUSE did in fact infringe upon the itellectual copyright of SCO, is it legally possible to take the users of the software to court? If I went out and purchased a CD package of SUSE and I am not able to decipher the actual code, would I have enough knowledge to determine if parts of it were obtained in a questionable matter? Something like this would hold strong in most courts (IMHO). With out prior knowledge of any wrong doing, I don't think one would need any form of indemnity to help protect them. This site itself is a great example, I know somebody had to write the code that creates these pages but how would we know if the code was made from bits of other sources that is copyrighted intellectual property?
If it is true that PS2s are being smuggled into Iraq, and some of them are going unchecked, who's to say they are PS2s? It is quite possible for someone, with a general knowledge of computers, to open one of these systems up and make a few changes. Take out the CPU and set a PIII or something inside of there with it held in place with double sided tape. Maybe even fit a new main board in the box, I have yet to see a PS2 in person so I am not sure if that is possible.
My whole point on this subject being,if a PS2 can be smuggled into Iraq unchecked, why can't they change parts of the system and smuggle in pieces to build a normal computer? If this is so, Iraq has found a way to get the computer pieces they need which goes against any embargo or restrictions against them. This could be a problem.
Ahh yes, but I feel real good about it. One piece of advice though. Thry some sit ups, they could help with those handles you have.

Let that crazy brother use this during a video chat from accross the country when he decides that a pull my finger joke is in order.

This one small quote confuses me..
"These have been improperly copied into Linux.."

It may be the other around but she takes the paycheck. At least this way my computer stays running AND I get food as needed.

Can anyone shed a little light on this for me?
2001-03-21 14:21:46 There is a slight chance that I can win... yeah right.
The Borg have invaded Earth!
