FTFA:
The FBI says it found CDs with child porn in Perez's room, the only one it searched. An open-and-shut case? No, because there's a twist: the Yahoo account used to send the message belonged to a Mr. Rob Ram, according to Yahoo's records. Perez had a roommate named Robert Ramos and an open WiFi connection, but that was not enough to convince a federal judge to keep the seized CDs from being used in his prosecution. basically if you live in texas and have a bunch of child porn cds in your room, saying that your roomate did it isn't a good enough defense.
When are 'merkins going to start using proper units? Never, obviously that is the cause of the long anticipated sequel to world war 2. It will be a religious war between factions separated by equally arbitrary means of weights and measures.
you read my mind. I was only four when return came out and we had to leave early because my younger brother got scared by darth vader; but I still know that this is a travesty perpetrated by the non-music video mtv generation.
Perhaps we do the minors of this country harm if First Amendment protections, which they will with age inherit fully, are chipped away in the name of their protection. Man I feel bad for this judge; if he keeps making well formed straight forward statements about the constitution he may never get appointed to the supreme court.
It seems that this guy doesn't understand what "art" is. Besides being in the eye of the beholder it is also working with what you have. An good artist should be able to create something artful with nearly anything he or she has at hand. Saying that Nintendo doesn't care about games as an art form because their machine is not as powerful as someone else's is just admitting one's own weakness. As Frank Costello pointed out in The Departed "Lennon said, 'I'm an artist. You give me a f*cking tuba, I'll get you something out of it.'"
Further more what qualifies this joker to say nintendo and the wii are incapable of making artful games. Until he has had the same successes as someone like Shigeru Miyamoto or especially in this case Will Wright maybe he should keep his trap shut and do his bosses bidding.
1. If you shut up every scientist who disagreed with conventional wisdom we would still be learning about the Ptolemaic solar system; we wouldn't know about these crazy forces that keep making things fall on our heads; and smelly grad students wouldn't be able to buy that picture of Einstein with his tongue sticking out; and possibly the worst Stephen Hawking wouldn't have that awesome mac voice that I use on my voice mail so people think I'm smart. You never know when some "crazy" guy who is a black sheep in his discipline will come up with the next mind blowing episode of nova.
2. Why doesn't/. have a dedicated global warming section yet? There always so many stories on the subject and so many people respond to them that global warming could easily make its own section.
having never played second life myself; i have to ask why would someone rent land from one player as opposed to renting land directly from the linden people?
For starters, try, oh, I dunno, a newer RC, if you were part of the test, or...wait for it...the release version?
This sort of story makes me a bit ill. I know this is Slashdot and all, but can we please have SOME sort of filter for "my lonely pre-release copy of Vista dosen't work on my home network" stories?
it sucks that they're gone, but times change and evolution is cruel mistress. they should have grown opposable thumbs 20000 years ago and stopped our ancestors from inventing the plow then maybe they would have stood a chance.
I often hear people argue about the placement commas in the second amendment and to it seems irrelevant to whether or not indivuals are allowed to own firearms. the ratified version reads.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. to me the only part that matters is "the right of the People to keep and bear arms". if the people have a right then it is implicit that it shouldn't be infringed upon, otherwise why would one be writing a bill of rights.
what is the application of this into real world problems. furthermore what will happen when the ecu on my car is only nullity 1.0 compliant and tries to divide by nullity 1.2.1.3alpha2.
i have a pismo powerbook and os x 10.3.9 works fine. granted not as good as my moms shiny new macbook. but it still runs surprisingly well for a 6 year old laptop.
You must be one of those Scots, I can tell. Buy something, use it, use it, use it, and never throw it away. Bah!
Take that hard drive down to the dumpster and open her up. Pull out all the platters and use them as frisbees. Take the magnets off the head surfaces so you can make cool distortions on your crt. Desolder all the circuits and electronics so that you can have parts for your robot that hasn'tyet been built. Put it all in the dumpster and laugh at the hobos when they try to figure out what they're fishing out of the dumpster. Voila!
In my country, we don't just fix something when its broken; becuase we are in an economy of scale we can buy a new one cheaper than fixing the old one. You sissy Scots and your penny pinching ways.
"And will it appear in the United States? For that to happen, Reith says, Motorola will have to find a willing service provider or agree to sell its product alongside no-name brands at drugstores." why cant they just sell an unlocked phone on their website? i already have a sim card; why do i need cingular to sell me another phone. the phone pictured in the article looks like the kind of phone i would want, but i know it will probably never make it to america.
yes, dillo is sweet. it might not be my everyday browser but i have always liked it.
not my cat, just one of many pictures of stupid cats that are also not my cats.

yep we're undefeated, and we'll stay that way until some jackass, who never saw Jurassic Park, brings dinosaurs back. then we're screwed.

they did it on purpose; i used to work on one of their dsl tech support contracts and it was a nightmare to say the least.
