Masks of Odin
by E Titchenell
is a great book on the why where when of the ancient norse mythos.
A really great in depth look at the grand stories of the norse peoples
(if tender buttons drives you made try
a wife and her cow a love story!!)
her extent into areas of writing such as that of written portraits
and automatic writing are powerfull and amazing,
and her 'break the rules' attitude in regards to an
'autobiography of alice b toklias' is insane in its realism and perspective
the girl in the story had a whole dress made of
nanotechnology that could pump water out of it
or change its color shape design etc.
one of the guys had an overcoat that protected him
from certain air borne nano technology and also
some bio hazards too
both were all kevlar-ish etc
think about it,
one set of clothes for your entire life
but a wardrobe of anything you could think of
;)
come to think of it
as a coder who has put in at least a couple of 24+hrs stints
it would be nice if these things could perform some hygienne based tasks too!!
people , who were protesting peacefully ,
in one case was shot , outright by those hired to protect multi national and globalization efforts and interests
the goal of globalization is still the same
the rich get richer and the poor
the people in my own city of vancouver were pepper sprayed on the Prime Minsiters authority
just because another known mass murder mr saharto
from indonesia was in town
if you know anything of world politics you know that canada and the u.s.a. have been exploiting indonesia for a looooong time
its obvious you dont though!
in seattle police officers were crying
cuz they were told to pepper spray and tear gas their own citizens, probably people they knew!
they do have to talk together though,
and generating a xml doc based off of database info and then parsing via
xslt is so trivial i dont think it needs repeating
i think the biggest prob in xml is the incompatibilities
between the parser & lexicon engines and well as interoperability too
of course html browsers are like this already
and i loathe it as much as Tim Berners-Lee!!
the best modules / libs ive found for this has been libxml, libxslt and XML::LibXML,XML::LibXSLT
as far as really good xml to db interchanges oracle was working on XSQL[?]
which would allow for db connections via an xml file, it was only in java though....blehck!
dunno if this qualifies...
here goes...
there was this old commodore basic program for the
pet's called paperclip, we learned how to do form
letter's back in '85 using basic text templates
with placeholders...
the end user will not use this hammer
to build anything that would be deemed
uncapitalistic or un democractic!
this would include:
Mosques,
Churches and
Socialist Gathering centers
yes
what im getting at is encryption is a TOOL
if the terrorists we stupid enough to use a
publicly accessible encryption methods
instead of creating an 'in-house' solution
they are just asking for it!
{
IF it was bin Laden
dont you think he could
afford better encryption?
come on!
}
asking everyone else to
throw away freedom for more
security is not an option
hmmm
america trained bin laden
they trained hussien too
at the cia terrorist school
plus la times reports bush gave the taliban
millions in march
sounds like the same old ploy as desert storm
wait for the trading cards!
btw: i aint american !
my sympathies to all hurt by
terrorist attacks including
the terror campaigns supported by the usa, like the killing of palestinians in israel
{military equip supplied by america}
just about the right.
as in right of center politics!
and anyone known to eat granola is a pinko!!
get their dna,ask questions later!!
that way they can sell or clone their dna!
after all criminals make great soldiers!
cloning deviants for terror jobs is important
{remind me to watch soldier w kurt russell again}
have you noticed how america and its allies
were not on the list of known countries that support terrorism
even though hussien, bin laden and noriega were all trained by the CIA!!!?
what a farce all this is
if it wasnt for the fact thousands
were killed and hurt it would be
laughable!
goodbye terrorists.
hello McCarthyism.
um neo-McCarthyism. that is!!
times have changed but
keeping your citizens down isnt new at all
any excuse to take away freedoms
and replace with 'security'
just look at the black panthers or the weathermen
oh yeah mr l johnson took care of them
{mostly be introducing pure Heroin [tm bayer co] into the market}
those that slip through get conveinently placed into prison !
then again america has the greatest percentage of political prisioners per captia anyhoo
so get ready lefties, we'll be labelled 'terrorists' too .
please stop the violence
im pleading for a humane approach
the 5.5 million afghans under the usa supported taliban regime are as innocent as the people trapped in the wtc
no one can be free while they oppress others
and that includes the new restrictions to the civil liberties as well
the reason why 3d has not really caught on is because there are no environments to do this in!
2d works well with monitors because they display in 2d!
3d does not because its displayed in 2d!
in order for 3d to be accepted it must be an immersive 3d environment, duh!
this is too expensive right now for the average consumer
until business can grasp the concept of having their whole office surrounded by 3d objects that people can click on and use well...
my vision has always been 3d hooked up to a wearable hooked up to gps
3d models hybrided into our real view.
3d models of ronald mcdonald outside the restaurant telling people about the specials,
shake his hand transfer funds for a happy meal
i see some of your points
quake for all the love i have of it
is not the be all/end all
it has faults too
i cant transmit a 3d banner in a quake plugin
or hook perl DBI or JAVA jdbc and deliver database driven info to a 3d window {yes ive done this yawn}!
15kb vrml vs a 113kb gif animation!
sounds great but incompatiblities are choking the vrml market {the browse workgroup should solve this } and the cost of hiring 3d modellers with 3dmax as opposed to webmonks with dreamweaver
oh you didnt know it cost more to produce 3d?
course its not all bad vrml is an iso standrard.
X3D is backwards compatible with it as well, and to be incorporated into the MPEG4 spec. Oh yes MPEG4 has a 3d component . I hope is solidifies the incompatibilities.
sony's new 3d media package for the playstation , blendo, was based off of vrml, for the most part
as well
thats not true
go to dune.sourceforge.net
or parallel graphics site
or better yet use notepad or vi or xemacs
like html its a markup language
learn the tags voila!
for a complete list go to
sdk.web3d.org
that should keep you busy
i do agree that conformance is one of the main issues.
i continue to fight for on the vrml lists
recently they have formed a browser workgroup that should hopefully solve this
if you all had a clue youd realize this is a web3d.org inititaive
http://web3d.org/WorkingGroups/cad/index.html
or htmltidy?
geez, what do we follow the best practices guides for??
see perldoc perlstyle for what i mean
or just grab perltidy and confuse the profs!!

id have to say the biggest threat to network security is
the good old u.s.'s use of democracy to
usurp our freedoms and liberties
every day there is more and more taken away
and it effects all levels of security not just computer based
about trying to educate anyone
with these computers!
{try and eqaute that with dollar amounts!}
the literacy rate is already bad enough!
you think flash popups are going to help?
reminicent of the deals
the textbook publishers
did in the late 60's
ah those were the days
will we ever see the chainsaw vigilante, the man eating cow or paul the samurai
show up in the live action series?
sadly you are right about gertie.
(if tender buttons drives you made try
a wife and her cow a love story!!)
her extent into areas of writing such as that of written portraits
and automatic writing are powerfull and amazing,
and her 'break the rules' attitude in regards to an
'autobiography of alice b toklias' is insane in its realism and perspective
williiam s burroughs , gertrude stien
hakim bey , terrance mckenna, anais nin
and noam chomsky
i dunno...
remember neil stephensons 'diamond age'?
the girl in the story had a whole dress made of
nanotechnology that could pump water out of it
or change its color shape design etc.
one of the guys had an overcoat that protected him
from certain air borne nano technology and also
some bio hazards too

im sure everyone else would appreciate too
hey:
i just cant believe the selfish and inhuman answers to this!
the stance that
'globalization is good for me so who cares if it kill a few thousand people in indonesia'
you make me sick your so inhumane
subjugation of the entire race under the premise of democracy still enslaves us all
i wont argue though just
go here and look for globalization link
http://democracy-street.tao.ca/
and decide for yourself
how can you say this?
people , who were protesting peacefully ,
in one case was shot , outright by those hired to protect multi national and globalization efforts and interests
the goal of globalization is still the same
the rich get richer and the poor
the people in my own city of vancouver were pepper sprayed on the Prime Minsiters authority

its obvious you dont though!
in seattle police officers were crying
cuz they were told to pepper spray and tear gas their own citizens, probably people they knew!
is this what democracy looks like?
go to http://www.zmag.org
and look around for globalization links
maybe youll learn something
my experimentation points to the same stuff
,libxslt and XML::LibXML,XML::LibXSLT
....blehck!
xml is interchange
database is storage
they do have to talk together though,
and generating a xml doc based off of database info and then parsing via
xslt is so trivial i dont think it needs repeating

wait!
who owns commodore again?
someone has to take out/stop the riaa
i used to play the role playing game called paranioa
trust no one
keep you lazer handy
the computer is your friend
no no no!
its a return to the abacus
we need to get rid of computers so we can
get everyone working again
hahahahaahaaaa
just looking into this yesterday!
i used to hide some files in wav files in '94
there was this prog on the
church of the subgenius site
that allowed me to do this
basically it worked by throwing out enough lsb's
{least significant bytes} and replacing them with
the text
the link below suggest hiding
or encrypting is not enough
both working in tandem does a wonderful job
http://www.demcom.com/english/steganos/
new eula for a hammer:

on perl monks a while back.
it shouldnt be too hard esp if activestate make a plugin that comes with its windows version
more info if you search there for perl plugin
afghanistan is a wasteland of people dying
please stop the violence

again x3d is the next gen of vrml
its built off of vrml syntax
