  1. Re:I recognize this strategy on EA Shutting Down Video Game Servers Prematurely · · Score: 0

    Really....

Seems to me that as soon as the next copy of Madden 09 is sold, EA has committed fraud, then.

Hardly. On the backs of the games it states they may give 30 days notice before the termination of their online services.

  2. Re:App space explained on Google's Nexus One Phone Launches · · Score: 0

It's a total deal breaker for me. Until I can use the space how I want, I doubt I'll be getting one. I'm not a person who carries music or movies on their phone, I'd want it for apps and such. It CAN run open source software right? I know it's based on Linux, but that doesn't mean crap if it's locked down.

People should use this: http://openbittorrent.com/ There's even a tool on there to batch convert the trackers and clean it up.

This makes me sick. I hope this judge gives him the finger and these people can be let go. The whole no evidence required is ludicrous.

Semi right, but he did direct the Halo: Landfall shorts. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Halo:_Landfall So people who enjoyed that may have a vested interest in this.

Came here to post this, as much as I love basic and such as a kid, Klik and Play was my first graphical endeavour into games featuring my efforts such as "PEnguin Space Invader Breakout" and "Pinkeye"- A south park game where you played cartman going round shooting zombies. I wonder if the "demo" is still around somewhere on the interbutts..

I went as far as actually looking it up...it is a horrendously made ad to the point where it looks amateur...it took a while before I actually found it referenced on the SIIA site and then my world broke when I found this is real :(

I have to actually agree on this..I saw Harry Potter on HD recently and it was bugging me that it was all so...fake...you could see EVERYTHING. Including the stuff youre not meant to (as above- the seams etc)

  9. Re:I doubt it will work on Microsoft and Yahoo Discussing Search Partnership · · Score: 0

I work in Tracking and Tracing for people who owe fines in NZ and my job is essentially using Government companies search, our own Ministry fine system called "Collect", a site called OldFriends and last of all Google. This is a core search where we search the names of people to see if they have a web based presence. If I dont use Google to search for someone, I could get marked down when it comes to them analysing my spreadhseets to see where I have looked. Specifically Google, no other search engine basically. And it's good, I've had alot of hits from it.

  10. I seriously doubt... on New Zealand's Recording Industry CEO Tries to Defend New Draconian Law · · Score: 0

I seriously doubt the ISP's themselves are even willing to go through with this. They will lose customers. NZ internet is shitty enough without this tacked on top. The idea of a "guilty" verdict and nothing else (ie: no option to even try to fight it) is not what our justice system here hangs on.

Shame we never got Manhunt, despite it being about as ballsy as a SAW film. And yeah, I have no idea how other countries have so many problems when the way we do it works out well for us. Plus alot of chains here actually ID, which means if a kid is too young for a game, then they have to get someone older to buy it for them, which means if it for some reason comes back and bites them in the ass the older person gets done with supplying to a minor.
