Drew was instrumental in raising awareness that television news is designed to scare people into watching it with teasers that are titillating, BREAKING NEWS (when it's not) scrolls, and far more. Quite a stunt to pull off some years back and I respect him for it. FARK was built with humor in mind and early on was mined by late night talk shows for content. My question is: what will you do to get a skeptical, and possibly hostile, media to present you as a serious candidate?
Need a better seeing eye? So, what'l it be? On the high end we have the fashionable Borg and Terminator models. If you're looking for something a little less flashy, we have the used LED model. Now, let's try one one for size. Oooh. Can you see okay? No, the bright red laser doesn't look at all creepy. It's kinda cute.
Every one of the one million people should send an email, stating their feelings about this bone head move, to the person that made the decision to release the email addresses. That person's email address should be readily available. If not, hopefully, someone will make it so. The clown(s) needs to see what happens when email addresses submitted in confidence are disclosed to the public.
There are plenty of qualified American engineers in all fields. The public has been lied to about this, but doesn't care because there is plenty of entertainment to distract us. Gates may not be a different man from the early days of Microsoft when he was quite a cutthroat. He may be continuing an agenda that has been in play for decades. I don't know the man. I know he has no qualms about lying with a smile, as he did to Congress about H-1B wages almost a decade ago. He is still out for corporate interests, while he helps cure malaria in Africa. He is a complex person. He is simultaneously selfish and generous. I don't trust Bill Gates.
I presume that this is policies being dumber down for use on all versions of Windows 10, not just Pro or Enterprise. I'm happy with the policies we set that only allow installations from specific mapped locations. Our workstation that is running Windows 10 preview to see how useful it is, updated directly from Windows 7 Pro, imported all the policies perfectly. I hope that doesn't change..
The majority of our customers have no idea how routers work, let alone that they can update its firmware. When we explain that a router is a mini-computer that offers a high level of control to them, some of their eyes glaze over as they think a port is what you plug a cable into. When told that firmware can be updated using DD-WRT or the latest OEM version to patch vulnerabilities, only a few understand how to do this, even when we explain it to them. We do offer to perform the work for them, but most don't care unless their router is acting wonky. Unless D-Link sends letters, not an email that would likely be perceived as spam, to registered owners with simple instructions on how to update firmware. very few of their routers will be patched in the real world.
This may be one unfortunate result of Bill Gates integrating IE deeply into Windows in order to crush Netscape, and not be nailed by the Feds for doing so in United States v. Microsoft Corporation in 2001.
Never use an electronic random number generator for any game of chance. Use physical means, like picking bouncing ping pong balls, painted with numbers, one at a time. That's pretty hard to crack without superpowers.
China has MFN status because they have lots of money to loan Western countries. We don't want to annoy them to the point that they adversely effect the Western economy in unpredictable ways. They are the world's best liars when it comes to denying their actions. If a Chinese official was video recorded throwing a rock that broke a window, the PRC would claim that he never did that. Along with modern capitalist methods, that's another thing that the Nixon administration likely taught them. Always deny the dirty truth with great sincerity.
Of the two systems that performed best with the bottom of the line Core M, one used a cooling fan while the other had an aluminum shell that acted as a heat sink. The machine with faster processor had a plastic shell with no active cooling. It throttled back when it got warm and would not run at full speed due to heat buildup. Hence the reason why a lower power CPU outperformed a higher powered one. Shell design is everything when it comes to quickly venting heat. Don't use enclosed plastic if you need to cool a CPU that is designed to run at 65C. Use a metal shell, or an active cooling system if the shell is plastic.
CSI: Cyber's flickering scene transitions, with sound, are the most annoying thing on television, possibly ever. Get rid of this stupid effect, please.
For Interstate highway driving, this will be quite welcome. I'd rather drive in city streets myself as there is no way computers are ready for the insanity that city traffic can be at times with pedestrians, bicycles, and what-nots.
Russia and China are reliable liars when it comes to denying what others have caught them doing. Very much like a child that got caught with a hand in the cookie jar. I do not believe denials that come out of either country.
If she says and does what the GOP want to hear, and follows the lead of her handlers exactly, she has a shot of running. Once campaigning, she needs to be a great debater, not get flustered or defensive when presented with her failures.. Promise to go along with all the factions of the GOP by using language that they all want to hear, while staying flexible, if possible. Be likable and convincing to the American people. Don't be a snobbish ass. Look good but not glamorous. Don't focus on how you ran a large company, but on what you will do to help America successfully move into a future of increasing worldwide economic competition without further degrading the middle class. Carly has a shot. A long shot, but a shot as long as she's not snuffed out ahead of time by bigger money than what she has.
Iowa is better off because of Branstad being governor. Look up how well the state is doing compared to its neighbors. I think he might be ready to retire now, though..

I hope that the elected officials in Congress, that promised to serve the public, actually read the bills before voting on them.
Yeah, it's the information superhighway now. 20 years later it's all grown up.
No mod points left or your comment would get one for being insightful.

He may have liked it along with all the other ones. The issue is resolved.
You said news. CNN seems more like a scare-the-viewer network, than a news network that provides useful information.
Some old people understand computers quite well. The problem with Congress is that they're not just old, they're mostly old lawyers.
Maybe the upshot to the purchase is that the Segway might now be priced in an affordable range. I'll take a Segway for 75% off, please.

I greatly prefer to ogle American football cheerleaders over the players. To each his own, I guess.
