For anybody who followed the problems Trey Parker had in getting the South Park movie accepted with an R rating from the MPAA...
I didn't follow it, what was his problems?
What he said in interviews about the movie was that each time they came to him and said he couldn't do something he would put in something 100x worse. Eventually he would put in something the censors didn't understand and so they accepted it.
You mean its actually so bad over there that they can dictate what you can't have in movies?!
Hey! It was correct when i mentioned it - perhaps someone changed it?:) Infact, i also mentioned that here (in Denmark) they don't censor things and you can hear the SouthPark songs on tv and radio, even in the kids programs - someone cut that...it's that damn Slashdot censorship again! *G*
Yeah, didn't get much of a rating in Denmark either, but then it's a free country without censorship on tv, so they kids probably wouldn't hear anything new. Hell they even swear on kids progams from time to time:) --- In a free country you can say "Fuck" on primetime - i live in a free country, do you?
Answer: Brains use more energy than blood can deliver. The purpose of sleep is to recharge energy. Then why is that one see quite often, when people grown old they don't need so much sleep? I always assumed sleep was a sort of garbage collection, where they brain sorted some things out in preparation for the future - as your grew older your neural net expanded, ie you had more experience and what needed to be processed could be done in short time.
Denmarks second largest bank, Unibank seems to be dropping microsoft office packs in favour of Staroffice (the free one from Sun). This was in the papers today, the danish division of Microsoft seemed a bit miffed:)
For an act of civil disobedience to be an honourable act, one must openly reveal one's identity and run the risk of arrest and imprisionment. Yeah, Hitler was really pissed at all the dishonourable cowards, who would sabotage his work while trying to remain anonymous. Point being: Being anonymous has nothing to do with the justness of a given course of action. A common misconception by muddled thinkers.
Actually one must grasp the difference between a number and a numeral. A number is a quantity, an abstraction of a collection of things; a numeral is a man-made symbol that represents the number. Zero is a man made symbol which represents nothing, and is there for not an even number. Or to put it in laymans terms, if you don't have a car, do you have an even number of cars?
