    I have had my Samsung tablet for 2+ years now and I have never used Google's Chrome web browser.

    I use Firefox 35.0.1 with Javascript disabled. Works fine.

    But then I don't use Google Play Store either. I use F-Droid.

    Just the name already - "Play" store. Sounds like something for kids.

    Which is exactly why Mozilla will very soon now get rid of the browser.

    And Mozilla will make that decision unilaterally. Mozilla will not listen to you. Mozilla knows what's best for you. You don't.

    One fine day your browser will simply remove itself. Because Mozilla said so.

    I use chromium 34.0.1847.137 and ... nothing happens when I copy/paste that url (yes - I deleted that space).

    No Crash. No nothing.

    So I guess Google added something to their Chrome that breaks stuff.

    So who or what are those "controllers" in Adelaide? Aliens? Robots?

    This is not about taking humans out of the loop, but simply consolidation to save money. Sickening.

    And let's not even talk about safety. Because the workload and stress for those one or two controllers controlling several airports will go up dramatically.

    Thank you for pointing out what is wrong with video on the web these days.

    If I want to play this with SMPlayer (w/ MPlayer), I get a "Server returned 403: Forbidden" message.

    I do not care why this is happening. I simply move on to other pastures.

    I uninstalled flash almost 2 years ago now. Haven't missed out on anything.

    The above has worked for several years now.

    The default video tag supports full screen view.

    Youtube's thingy does not. Why not? What's the problem?

    Does it also download files to your TV without asking you for consent?

    Like the Firefox webbrowser does ("libgmpopenh264.so"):

    On first start, Firefox downloads the "OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc." plugin (which is a binary blob) and enables it automatically. This happens without asking the user for consent.

    There is another class/type of software that also downloads and installs programs/libraries to your computer without asking the user for consent. You know what that is?

    Malware and computer viruses.

    You ever hear of "Customer is King":

    A customer does not want to be told what to do. It is he who demands, not the other way around.

    You should be where your customers are because saving them the hassle and the bustle will make them more likely to patronize you.

    If you don't want my money, then I am taking my business elsewhere. And by elsewhere I do not necessarily mean "piracy". I simply spend my money on something else or don't spend it all.

    For this same reason Skype never got my business. I had money, they didn't want it, so they didn't get my business. And looking back now nothing of value was lost really.

    The problem that I pointed out has nothing to do with the root certificate authority (rootca), but everything with the fact that the certificate used on their web server expired almost one year ago.

    But you're right, that is yet another problem with this certificate that the rootca is not available on a normal user's computer.
