    Perhaps you could take them home, upload them, then Scratch them or something, and see if you could talk them into taking them back

    Just go to Best Buy
    Get the CD, Use the Beam-it software,
    take it back to Best Buy and explain to them you suddenly realized you didn;t actually have a cd-player, and that you thought they would play in you vcr or something. Atleast they let me do this(and yes I do have a cd-player ;0)

    Win4Lin is not like Vmware!
    Vmware is its own little virtual computer, you can install windows on it, get pissed, install BSD, format, then install BEOS, and VMware would never know the difference, because its its own little computer complete with a Bios and everything!

    Win4Lin is like Wine, you can run singular applications like word or Excel, or IE.

    You can't run a VM in a VM, read their FAQ,
    also I've tried it, and had to re-install linux cause it screwed my kernel

    I have this same problem (kinda) with my computer

    I had to do a cold boot last night (without shuting down) and now the computer won't detect my video card, it will only use vga.
    So I re-install my video drivers (it tells me they are not made for my video card), reboot, and it still says it only has a VGA adapter, not my Voodoo3! So after good while of reinstalling the driver, it finally says the adapter is a voodoo3, but will only use it in VGA mode. so then it won't let me install my monitor drivers so that I can have better resolution. I don't know what to do, it took my 3 hours to get that far, anyone have any idea?
    (Btw, my cards not broken because it works under Win2K and Linux)

    Is it possible to do this same type of hack to a TI-83+ due to the fact they use the same type of proc (Dragonball Z80)?

    You all don't know how bad it sucks to have only 28k (iirc) to store games on. I can only get about 2-3 games on their at max. Some games even take up the whole amount (like the doom port which has only 4 screens, front, left, right, front with baddie shooting.)

    Exactly!
    I bought Redhat for Dummies (by Maddog) and it just went in one ear and out the other, I doubt it even went in an ear sometimes.
    It confused me so badly I ended up have to re-install Linux twice cause I screwed stuff up.
    Kinda sucked.

    My school has IBM ps2's (486) that have AMD proc's in them, atleast thats what windows says in the
    computer info.

    I have Dishnetwork Sat. Tv, and it goes out almost in every storm we have, or the reception (its not as bad since its digital, not analog) starts crappin' out on us.
    It reallly sucks, the only reason we keep it is becasue my dad wouldn't be able to get is Hunting
    and Fishing Channel on TimeWarner

    It posted my comment, my ideas, my feelings, thats what I thought this sight was all about!
    When I said I had watched DZ several times, doens;t that tell you that I have at least give it a try, and do not like it?
    "Anime" as I guess you call it now, is redicoulas, why would you go cheap on Backgrounds and fight scenes and opt for better voice actors or such? I thought the whole point of watching cartoons was to watch it? If they want to blow all their money on Voice actors, why not just have a radio show??
    I'm sorry if you consider my post Flamebait, I was just trying to add to the conversation, ATLEAST I wasn't talking about Naked Gritted Natalie Portmans, or whatever the Trolls fetishes are these days!

    I have a 20gig 75Gxp and it is annoying!
    Its really loud, and gets extremly hot to the touch, so I bought a cooling fan for it.
    I wouldn't mind 5&1/2 inch HD's again if they held a terabyte or something ;-)
    Anyway, just thought I oughta say about my HD to let ya'll know

    I order to work properly I need a very large desk.
    I have 2 Display tables (the kind they use for teporary displays that has the fold-up legs) one 6 and one 8 foot, made into an L shape.
    When I'm working on school reports or such (I'm only 14) I like to be able to spread all my papers out and be able to look at everything without having to dig around for it, its also nice that I have to computers/monitors, I can have one Program running on one (a dictionary or such) and something else on the other (web search or something) The tables also have enough room for my asssorted junk, such as my tv, Amp (for my compter/radio speakers, still has a built in 8-track, but it does the job), broken printer, and assorted boxes of computer crap I just haven't put away.
    Also, I require alot of light, ot flourescent, Halogen, I have 2 halogen light strips (the last one just had the bulbs go out on it, btw when a halogen strip goes out do all the bulbs burn out at once? this is the second one that done that)and a large overhead light (60watts ;-)

    also, If I was working in an office, I would want QUITE!!!, I can't stand noise, but I am good at filtering it out, and telling the people in class who keep talking where to stick it! I hate trying to do work, and listening to people carry on a conversation, the teachers these days don't care anymore as long as the works in tommorow.

    Could Someone help?
    I need a Calculator for Algebra2 this coming school year, and don't know what to get,
    I'm thinking of getting a TI-86plus (more flashrom for games ;-) but are there any other ones out there for around the same price? But I have to be able to follow the directions from the teacher easily, so I really dn't want one that has a lot of different buttons than the TI-85 (thats the one they use for examples in the book)

    I'm with this guy

    a.) I never travel, and If I do my 386 laptop is enough to play a game of Wolfenstein while on the road.
    b.) I don't have much money to get a new device

    c.) my next computer probably will be an Athlon, I see a lot of games optamized for 3dnow not P3.

    D.) If any of these embedded devices do get cool, I'll just wait a couple years and get one cheap, or wait to see one at a Flea market (no kidding, I just bought 2 p75's couple months ago that had 24megs of Ram, PCI ethernet cards "RealTek", and built in Video, For 5$ a piece, one got used for parts (PCI NIC works great), and the others going to an Uncle of Mine for a Birthday Present.)

    I have an Uncle (hey Kenny Conrad) WHo downloaded some of the Roms and the program to play them,
    out of about 20 or so he downloaded, only about 3 worked.

    And, How exactly do they copy the Rom from a cartridge to the computer?
