Surprised I haven't seen this yet, but there is a GnuGo project. I've played with it a little bit, it's okay in terms of AI, but definitely needs a lot of work. I played a palm adaptation of it, and the scoring was done incorrectly, and if you figured out the quirks of the AI you could beat it everytime.
Of course, then the government can just type "vi/var/mail/user" to read your mail instead of having to actually open it over steam and then reseal the envelope.
A lot of them, since "Area 51" is where the US makes all their new aircraft, and experiments with many different kinds of aircraft. I forget the actual name of the airfield.
They're going to need to have the artists themselves
Most artists under the RIAA don't own the rights their music anyway. The RIAA or record company owns them. The artists could get DoS'd for downloading their OWN songs.
I think that answers your question right there, doesn't it? Every story I saw about it clearly stated it was a remote possibility, and most likely would found to not be on any kind of course with Earth at all.
The great thing about the show was he even admitted a few times he had done it himself, or at least, reported something that turned out to be inaccurate in the end I think. At least he has the courage to come forth and admit it. I wish he was on more often, I remember watching his specials in school as well.
Compared to what shell corp has done in Africa, Microsoft selling their product in another country is nothing. They are still in court, and can continue as they wish outside of the US or inside the US until the courts say otherwise.
Puppy's only live 12 years and age 6/7 times as fast as people. Cancer would be better, eating away at Microsoft in their old days until there is nothing left.
It's not a dup, the original article was to let us know about the upcoming sysadmin day so we could celebrate it if needed. Sort of like "Hey your mom's birthday is Friday, go get her something." The story today is to allow for reports from the day, or other weird stuff.
Only has to work 1 day a year to make sure everything is still working from the year before. =] Of course, if they do their job too well, they'll be considered as not needed, since nobody will notice it.
The 1 day out of the year they are noticed is the day something beyond their control breaks (hardware failure, etc).
I read slashdot like I do most newspapers, I read the headline and the first paragraph or first sentence of each paragraph. Good newspaper journalists know that you put all the important info in the first paragraph and first sentence of each paragraph. Many people read newspapers this way when they are strapped for time.
If they would report more accurately, it'd be easier.
I thought causing permanent blindness was considered a war crime, and would get you in very big trouble with some people. I believe it came out of the WWII stuff or something, right? Someone out there must know more about this than I do. =]
Where did they find a place with no high winds, hurricanes, tornados, or lightning? And, with ocean front property? I think I want to live there.
I got conxion refused with Mozilla....
Yeah, it was real messed up, plus you had to basically score it on your own. Got linkage to the two?

If you knew you voted for the wrong candidate, why did you do it?
okay, i did a little research, and I guess that's not true. I think I first heard that like 6 years ago too. Hmm
On top of that, Tommy Hilfiger pretty much came out and said he was racist on TV.

Use PINE, very easy to use, won't spread viruses. It's also very clear about how to do everything.
Just like nearly every website looks greap in mozilla, except at microsoft.com nothing lines up quite right and looks like CRAP. Coincidence indeed =]

nah, let the sysadmin do it for you, it's their job. For all those sysadmins out there in this situation, the resolution is simple: rm -rf /home
