What has always bugged me about Star Wars, and most any other similar setting, is the total lack of flak cannons. When going up against small targets in 3D, you want weapons that hit an area, not precise pinpoint weapons.
Except in the one instance where a major character is hit. Who then receives no medical attention, continues fighting, albeit at reduced effectiveness, and makes a complete recovery.
Because ISPs have fought to avoid being classified as common carriers. Even going so far as to get legislation passed to protect them, specifically, the safe-harbor provision of the DMCA. It seems that in this case at least, that wasn't enough.
I would, but I have no idea what specific situation was being referenced. The only similar incident I was able to find was one where the cops fired 84 times and missed 83 of them.
Two kids with skateboards are a lethal threat to a single officer. Non-lethal weapons generally have major disadvantages against multiple opponents. If a cop knows what they are going to face ahead of time they can have the necessary tools ready, but if they knew that, they would be able to prevent crimes before they happened.
Unfortunately it would only mean poor people on juries, not people biased in favor of the poor, who are usually rich and feeling guilty about it.

That's 675 people that would have leukemia whether they were part of the cleanup or not.
Whether he deserves the payout is a different issue from how the media should cover it.
What happens when the stupid majority decides to invert your weighting of votes?

Why Americans went to the moon? to prove that they were better at building ICBMs than Russians.
You might want to look at the documented history of people on PCP and similar drugs fighting through tasers when confronted by the police.

Most people have families that can sue.
Citation needed, please leave out any incidents where the cops were being threatened or where charges were filed against the cops.
Just because they hit the guy that doesn't mean he wasn't still a threat.

Many of the people who get shot are shot because tasers aren't working due to them being so high they can't even feel it.
