No, one of the key drivers behind the 40 hour work week was higher production than the 60 hour work week while only having to pay 2/3 as much. (or less once OT became widespread)
Productivity is going up, consumption is not (or at least not as fast) so fewer hours are necessary to meet demand. Either hours get reduced or employees do. If hours are reduced, (and pay isn't increased to compensate) people have less money to spend, driving consumption down. If employees are reduced, fewer people have money to spend, driving consumption down. The only way to resolve it without a collapse is to pay people the same or more than they are now while letting them work less. Unfortunately I don't see that happening any time soon.
Except that's not what actually happens, at least for the average worker. If you give 60 hours of work, it's all so-so work, which works out to 30-40 hours of real work. If you worked 40 hours a week you'd be doing roughly the same amount of work for a little over half the pay. (after a transition period of a couple months where you'd be doing 20-30 hours of work)
It's also possible that the illegal immigrants are less likely to be vaccinated than the average Mexican. This seems rather likely to me as poor people are probably more likely to both miss vaccinations and attempt a border crossing.
However that's true of a lot of people. I don't see why someone who programs or designs things on a computer would have a better chance. A better test would be to take away all their money and connections and see what they can do.
To be fair, it's highly likely that the story is based in historical fact to begin with. While the whole world may not have flooded, there was most likely a large enough flood to be worth telling stories about. This would explain why the story of the single family surviving the flood has appeared in several different religions.
I believe it went pure ride sharing > ride sharing with built in ability to tip > taxi service, but the ones that are popular/still around are the ones that started later as taxi services.
The two aren't mutually exclusive.
They'd have trouble justifying pre-trial jail time for a non-violent offense that doesn't necessarily require jail time as a punishment.
Hmm, I wonder if it does that every time.
Well, not my address but the address of where I work. Also, it's called a security badge, not a name tag.
People tend to talk louder on the phone.
I still think the best way to stop illegal immigration is to give a citizenship to anyone that rats out their employer.
What makes these more useful is the lack of judicial review and the NDA attached to them.
Don't be silly, it would be 'minorities only' with one that both minorities and whites can use next to it.

Looking at the figures for other countries, I'm guessing those numbers are annual.

You should test it just to be sure, scientific method and all that.
It is free of charge in that there's no additional charge for doing it, you're going to pay the taxes either way.

Offer citizenships to any illegal immigrant that reports their employer for paying them.
If you're going to take the trouble to feed internet to the middle of nowhere, you're also going to bring a few solar panels so people can use it.
If they're trying to help themselves, they'd get better results in places where people can afford quality internet but it isn't available.

No one said anything about Africa. Now who's projecting?
Why should we assume low-bandwidth data would be included automatically? Look at text messaging.

Would rather hear Senator Obama debate against President Obama.

Because if they drive to the airports they'll upset the cabbies' union, which is unsafe for them.
