I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.. It INCLUDES XFree86? That's such a drastic change.. Is it used for the graphical interface, or for remote X connections?
Now wait a second.. I'm NOT trying to sound like a dink here, and I CAN say that the Linux demo ROCKS, but it's NOT a GAME yet.. It HASN'T been released as one, JUST a DEMO..
Nearly the whole dang thing.. Most of the libs, along with the core kernel itself.. Basicaly, nearly everything the OS itself would have, minus stuff that is under copywrite..
Three.. But then again, if you have HUNDREDS of systems having problems, then they only have ONE common denominator.. You've got something going on funny.. Are you sure it's not X? What problems do you have..
Derived from what? A small tasklist at the bottom of the screen, with a button to bring up a menu? How is panel even CLOSE to that?
Ok, maybee they stole the idea of pushing a button, but I'm SURE that buttons are considered common use enough..;-P
Have you ever tried to add a configurable launcher to the taskbar? How about a small application to display data? Resize your taskbar? Have SEVERAL of them on different edges and corners of your screen? Common..
I had just the OPPOSITE.. My wife uses KDE regularly, without any problems at all.. I prefer Gnome myself, but I fear that KDE has beat the pants out of Gnome as far as a 1.0 release..
Yes, there is a big difference when one is judging speed.. As a matter of fact, unless they both had dedicated access to the SAME T1 line, the results can be SIMPLY screwed by someone simply ftping a large file across the LAN..
They COULDN'T be that silly.. These tests must be conducted by utter morons.. Shouldn't these tests be done by neutral, third party vendors? I mean, who's the say they didn't just speed up the friggen tape to make it appear faster?
"Joe, move the mouse REAL slowly.. We need to speed up this tape, and don't want it to look phony.."
Max load is dependant on alot of things.. On a 486, 11 means 'Reboot'.. On an high end SGI, Heck, 50 still means 'If it settles down, it'll be fine..'..

It's GTK, Babee.. That's the themeing ability of the actual toolkit.

Err, that's X and ONLY X locking you up.. Don't blame enlightenment if it tried to take advantage of your incorrectly configured X Server..

Actually, after looking more at ShinePrints page, Linux IPP SDK and server already exist.. A commercial product, but still worth a mention..
I haven't looked at it myself, but there IS an IPP SDK available at http://www.shinesoft.com/shineprint/spsdk.html

Man, themes silly words, so I KNOW your joking..

One word..
;-P
MOXIE!!
Well, I would, any I feel that at least enough to break even will as well..
Lemme get this strait.. They mislead the court on 3 different occasions:
1) Using survey results that where 'ordered' to turn out the way they did..
2) Using systems that are NOT CONFIGURED as they stated to demo something..
3) They demo something on different speed modems, and suprisingly, the slower modem lost..
Does this mean that I can 'forget' to mention 30,000 of income when doing my taxes and use the 'gimme a break' as a reason?

Linux International already does this.. All one needs tdo is apply for funds..
And, by you being here, and posting such a message, appear to be one of what you describe..
Enlightenment merely brings the X Server to it's knees in what it's trying to do.. Most X Servers aren't pushed that far.. ;-P
Oh great.. That would just bring my productivity to a halt.. ;-P
That would be WONDERFULL.. Unfortionatly, I'm not sure it would be all that easy.. Perhaps on a Mac it could be done..
And she's DOWN FOR THE COUNT!!
(DoH!)
I guess the question ends up being..
When is that?
It's gettingto be very usable (I do, AAMOF), but when is there enough base to do it?

You're looking at PovRay, NOT PovLab.. There are NO good modellers for linux..
