It doesn't quite work that way. As resellers we have to have the system that we are offered by the company that owns the main networks, and this is what they are offering, poorly written and IE6 dependent. I'm not even a coder and I think I could do better.

Yet another nod towards cheaply made mass produced peripherals that make you look like a twat and make life an indoor activity instead of oh I dunno....playing sport in real life. If I get forced into abandoning consoles because of this then so be it.

Ok.... how about, and I know this is difficult....just not taking the laptop to school?? If you take it you'll get asked constantly "can I borrow....", if you say "no" you'll lose friends and probably have it taken from you anyway... If everyone else can get by without AND the school has resources is it REALLY essential to take an expensive bit of kit in every day??

Ha. The company I work for has just forked out over £900 for a broadband provisioning system. Boy does it SUCK. And the first thing it told me to do??? Use IE6. I have to therefore agree with the above statement. For a girl who loves Chrome despite the fact it can't do half the things I want it to yet... well, just someone kill IE6. IE full stop if possible.

There have been numerous posts regarding the apparent can of worms opened by me commenting on the Mcann case. :-/ Most of them are assuming one outcome or the other... all I can say is if there was a system to track that little girl maybe it would have helped. I think a lightening conductor system would be awesome...I for one would love that. Lets start a new thread.

Parents leaving their kids unattended is hardly a lightening strike. And talking of those...how about for planes rather than kids...given the recent news that is.

I don't think this discussion is about what people THINK happened, the facts are that nobody actually knows and that this kind of a device MAY have been useful. You missed my point entirely.

That is hardly the point really is it!? The point is the girl is missing and nobody knows what happened to her, the topic is regarding a child location system, I think my point was fair regardless of the reasons a child went missing.
