How large is the receiver going to be? (After all, those soundwaves aren't magically picked up and converted to electricity by a normal phone or laptop.)
Yes, it's me again, and I just wanted to say that although I think the idea is intriguing, there's no way it would operate even close to the efficiency levels they were talking about. I was surprised that anyone was getting duped by it. And that's not a joke.
Apple admitted there is a problem, and that "some" users were affected. When you take into account Apples tendency to pretend there are never any issues, and silence everyone who tries to talk about them, and when they finally do say anything they downplay it to the extreme, this immediately makes me think it's a HUGE problem they can't suppress simply because they admitted it happens and there were actual users that got nailed.
(Is that an award length run on sentence, or does it not even qualify?)
Personally I banned itunes from my machines back when they started taking over other things and installing unwanted shovelware on the box without even asking permission. There are plenty of alternatives, even if they don't access the itunes store.
Unfortunately a judge disagrees with you on that, at least with regards to the cops. I consider that cop to be conspirator of the bad cops out there as he is intentionally aiding them in their illegal activities and shielding them from prosecution for them.
I agree with the other poster in that there should be some substantiation of that statement. Yeah, I know, I'm rather lazy in providing them myself, but it's still true.
I guess you could take the cop that gave you a ticket under false pretenses to small claims court to be reimbursed for your court costs. (Not the time off work obviously.) I don't know, it's just a wild guess. ianal
The idea of a system like the one in the article is that everyone contributes, everyone benefits. They didn't think to write it in their rules because they didn't contemplate the possibility of the extensive leeching for profit that's going on. They are now correcting their posted rules to get the for-profit-leeches to participate or GTFO.
He's spouting a lot of their current nonsense, though in ways they don't care for, and he's running (and won their slot) on their ticket, so like it or not, he's one of them.
I agree, and besides, those guys claim to be news providers, while facebook claims to be a social networking site.
If you complain that the refrigerator isn't as good for your tropical saltwater fish as that carboy you've been using for years, don't complain to the refrigerator company, you're an idiot.
I've given up caring about other peoples video game high scores when all the cheating started to really heat up. If you're interested in that kind of drama, I'm sure you could google it pretty easily. Though back in the 80s I did meet and have lunch with the world champ of Asteroids at that time. He had so many free lives, we walked over to the cafe, had lunch, and when we got back to the machine, it was still going!
(Cue the immature fools with a worse sense of humor than mine to start up the asteroids jokes now...)
Supposed to, supposed to, supposed to... Well, they are supposed to treat prisoners humanely. They are supposed to rehabilitate prisoners. They are not supposed to engage in 'punishment' or otherwise induce unnecessary hardships. (Remember the rehabilitation thing?) They are not supposed to try to milk money out of a captive audience, that obviously no longer has a paycheck, or their families. They are not supposed to view prisoners as a profit center. They are not supposed to take advantage, financial or otherwise, of the friends and family of the incarcerated. After all, who do you think tends to end up having to pay those predatory and outrageous prices and put up with abusive policies like that?
Yes, our country has rules against many things, and are signatory members of multiple treaties and international agreements that ban these types of things.
I guess I really should point out that two wrongs don't make a right. Just because someone else did something wrong, it doesn't mean you get to be just as vile, it's still wrong.
Besides, a video call isn't a visit, it's a phone call with moving pictures.
This is under special circumstances, so the trial will be skipped and they'll just be found guilty and shot. They will also be jailed for 20 months for failing to show proper respect for authority by just laying there and rotting instead of standing to attention and answering politely when asked if they are still alive.
I know what APIs are, and I couldn't figure out that menu 'explanation'.
Nope, just an intense dislike of trolling, racism, and OFFTOPIC !!!

Damn you physics! ... ..
You win this round, but I'll be back to take uneducated peoples money again!
Mwahahahah!

You mean that's how it's supposed to work, too bad the reality is different.

That's not a bug, that's a really poor and user abusive design choice.
Off topic much?
It was a faulty gas main. Honest... ;)
Even Timothy Leary thinks the news coming out of North Korea is too trippy to be real man.....

Several of them already posted. :(
I'm tired of the political B.S. in this country. It's getting so annoying I can't even laugh at the b.s. in NK now.
Only if it's in North Korea.
Weasels in a particle accelerator. That sounds like a lousy movie idea. Maybe we should ask Samuel Jackson what he thinks?
I wish I could give you a Funny mod on that one!
It's a bit more of a ZZAAAPPPPPP!!!!, but I'm sure he didn't care when he encountered the worlds largest bugzapper.
