Until it hangs, reboots suddenly to apply updates or thrashes the hard drive to buggery...if you're using Windows.
If you're using Linux the latest version of your distro breaks your wireless card and ATI/NVidia still can't make a graphics driver worth a damn.
I own a Mac now because of the previous. I spend all day fighting with Windows, I really can't be arsed to do the same when I'm at home. My Mac just works. It doesn't bug me, it doesn't grind to a halt for no reason and hilariously it can read a damaged NTFS drive that Windows refuses to, compounding the stupidity of that with an error message that makes no sense at all.
Nope you don't even have that you whiny smelly child. Do you go on car forums and hassle Mercedes owners? "I got a toyota camry for half what you paid you're such a fanboi". Now as I requested before kindly take your pathetic envy and your chip on your shoulder the size of Jupiter and stick them both up your fat arse.
You're a whiny little dork with a small dick and a huge chip on your shoulder about something that really doesn't matter. Now fuck off there's a good lad.
No I'm thinking that you're an arse with an immense chip on your shoulder. I don't gloat about having a Mac to anyone but I do recommend them to people who can afford them because the alternatives are shit.
Before I bought my iMac I did look at Windows machines, and a similarly specced Dell XPS with an IPS 2048x1536 screen would've cost a whopping 25GBP less, would have had a much more annoying OS on it and would not have been so easy to carry up and down stairs. So I wasted the extra 25GBP on an iMac. You only find a similar specced machine for less if you have a shit screen. I quite fancied not having a shit screen for a change.
The free in free software refers to the user of the software being freed from dependency on the developer of that software. The developer is free to use whatever license they choose for their software and is free not to use GPL tools and libraries in that software. The end user doesn't have that freedom with proprietary software, or software that can be closed at any time such as BSD software.
Out of the goodness of his heart? Or did he employ those people for their specific skills? Employment is a trade of skills for money, not a benevolent gift by a kindly rich man. Why do so many righties forget that?
And when the People's Revolutionary Army of Facebook defeats the actual people's army the people will be (better/worse off). Remember to read some non-libertarian history books before answering.
Microsoft's domination on corporate desktops is not going away any time soon, despite the idiots on here who think everything can be run in a browser these days.
So what? Three manufacturers came up with a similar form factor about the same time. Samsung has just created phones in a similar style. Plagiarism yes but not just of Apple and Apple's ludicrous patent is clearly shown to be the crock it is.
I would be so happy to see a huge number of corporations in USA to form one coalition and build an army and send it to take down the fucking government, that would be a good start.
What a great idea. What could possibly go wrong? (cue immense wall of text)
The ones marketing towards consumers have made plenty of money despite their software being widely pirated. The breadth of companies that have made money from Windows software is huge from small startups to huge organisations. The cost of the applications is irrelevant since people appear to be too cheap to pay even $0.99. The worlds may be vastly different (not that different IMO) but software piracy is people being unprepared to pay for software. That is not a different thing it's exactly the same.
Just as a matter of interest is it an OTA update? Because if it isn't then how is anyone going to be required to apply this update. "Here we're going to make your phone less functional because Apple says so" "fuck off I'm not applying the update".

Well said. I'm surprised the guy above didn't say OMG SLASHDOT GROUPTHINK as if we all agree on everything here (lol at that idea).
Customers already knew they wanted touchscreens since they were already buying touchscreen devices.
So how do you turn it off?
LOL your sig is the truth.
And yet somehow a couple of dozen countries managed to do just that without 21st century technology.
My parents are very proud of me. Are yours? I bet not.
Really? People will play stuff like WoW and Skyrim on tablets? Somehow I doubt it.

It doesn't restrict me as an end user at all. You are also completely free not to use GPL software in your development.

And this one looks quite similar too.
Apart from LG who announced this blatant iPhone ripoff in December 2006, a month before the first iPhone was announced.

And indeed Apple is one of the most talented at doing so and selling it for a premium.
