I saw a show on the Discovery Channel in which a geneticist talked about some of the genes he'd found (and been able to manipulate) in chickens. Can make them grow teeth, give them scales rather than feathers, arms rather than wings, a long tail. And then the guy doing the voiceover talked about making the same changes to an emu or ostrich to bring back velociraptors.
As someone who's built pre-fabs, and spent some time in trailers (granted, not ones on blocks like BitZtram mentioned down there), you're absolutely right. Different animals.
However, I trust neither. The company I worked for didn't make homes, but the camps for Fort Mac - pretty much dorm rooms. I'm sure the manufactured homes are better than what they had us doing (at least my journeyman when building the walls made sure we chose good lumber for studs), but I would not want to stay in one of those things. I've seen the shoddy work that goes into them because the company emphasizes quantity over quality.
Isn't that something along the lines that Ubisoft said when Assassin's Creed 2 came out? You don't own the game, you just spent $50 to have it in your house. Wonder when they're going to decide to do the same with DVDs.
that Vincenzo Natali is also the writer/director of Cube, an awesome move. Whereas Splice doesn't exactly look like it's going to be winning any awards (according to imdb, Cube won 13).

I hated him so much in the movie. Was so happy to see him get eaten in the book.
