Let me have some serious doubts about that.
Because that would mean that all the boards over the Net would face the same problem. Which is not the case.
So why would a retarded pedo choose 4chan over any other chan board or forum to post that kind of crap?
In many cases, the very reason that encryption was not part of a corporate security policy is...well ignorance and/or stupidity on the management part.
1- You should ask for proof of Liability/Corporate Insurances.
2- You should put down in writing what they are authorized to do and what they are forbidden to do...obviously you should both sign that piece of paper.
One quick way to get out of Help Desk role is certification.
BUT! Choose it wisely, CCNA is worth nothing in the market right now, simply because there are too many.
CCSA and CCSE for example (CheckPoint certification) seems hot right now for two reasons.
1- Security is still the fastest growing expenses in IT
2- CheckPoint tend to be purchased by large corporation, such as banks and certified personnel is hard to find for CheckPoint customers
#1 Exchange does have loooooots of features...but very few are actually used.
#2 Stating that few options are available to replace Exchange is not true.
- MailSite
- Kerio MailServer
- Apple's Mail Server
Just to name a few, and they all support Outlook, Mail and Thunderbird at the very least.
"so many people knock exchange - but in reality it is quite nice if you know how to manage"
Exactly...Exchange is a pain in the neck to manage and has (IMO) one of the worst management console of all MS Server Side product.
Kind of hard for me to answer...I was hired to actually fix that problem (ie install more opensource) to avoid paying next year.
But my understanding is that it is extremely expensive, especially since most of the licenses used where MS Server, SQL and Hyper-V.
Did you actually read what's written...MSDN is for testing and dev only.
hence the:
"Software testers or IT professionals who need to set up test labs with Microsoft operating systems, but do not need additional products.
Example: Test or IT staff at a video card manufacturer needs to set up a lab for testing drivers on multiple versions of Windows."
If you install MSDN OS in your shop in production and MS knocks on your door...you'll find yourself in court in a snap of a finger....it happened to us last year
Plug any Cat5 in any Gigabit switch and you'll get a 100M connexion.
Cat5e will get you 500M upstream and 500M downstream.
Cat6 will get you true Gigabit
I may be way out in the left field here but maybe Oracle will use mySQL to get some clients they would not usually attract because of Oracle's price tag.
I agree with OpenBSD using PF...then get yourself The book of PF ( http://oreilly.com/catalog/9781593271657/ )
This book is the most comprehensive PF documentation I've had the chance to read.
But like many others told. 1000 hit per day on a server is nothing to be worried about.
Aaah, well I agree with you on the anonymity and free speech, and I also agree that slashdot allows that as well.
But I'm pretty sure that if you where to post CP right here on slashdot, you would most likely get 1- Banned, 2- Arrested not too long after.

yea moot is know but for other type of crap...like allowing CP on his board.
I mean he wouldn't go as far as lying!! he's fine with child molesting but lying is pushing it too far! [sarcasm]

They would rather rely on security by obscurity.
I agree ...
OpenBSD + OpenBGPD + OpenOSPFD + PF + CONFIGURE ALL OF THIS PROPERLY = Rock solid secured ISP
Right on!
The funniest part is, even with $12 billion MS still failed to have that mail server working properly right here on earth...nice
Let's hope HP won't screw up TippingPoint anymore than 3Com did!

I agree with running your own DNS server
