Funny, I see more eyes as better, and though the average intelligence is lower, what does it matter when you have a larger sample size with more intelligent people? Your logic is screwy without any grounding in any true thought; your comment is here to draw a flame.
sorta funny, i think the point is for most users the restart time is 6 minutes. My restart time is no where near that, funny too, that i hardly ever have to restart my windows machine. also, I dont think i have ever seen a machine with that kind of restart time. I think that rumors of how *much* windows sucks have been greatly exaggerated.
This by my *guess*, won't take oxygen out of the atmosphere. Most likely when the jet encounters an altitude without sufficent oxygen, the chemical reaction will stop, not suck the oxygen out of the air.
This is a typically European and socialist approach to the "problem" of piracy, whereby everyone pays for the negative actions of a few rather than directly forcing these people to pay.
What, you don't think the same sort of thing happens in the good ole' US of A? Hell we charge more for audio CDRs even though there is no difference between them and 'plain ole' CDRs. Stop screaming that it is a socialist activity, this has nothing to do with socialism. The way you use socialism seems to imply negativity; even though you seem to have little knowledge of its meaning.
doesnt stop monitoring, all they have to do is lock onto your specific frequency, and follow you around with a police scanner. I can do it, its that simple, i very much doubt these will include encryption and other high end features.
yes although this is a valid point, did you have to be a pompous ass in telling katz? why you'll have to be a prick to katz makes very little sense to me. i enjoy most of his articles.

I don't think you understand the dynamics of the japanese market. japan has never heard of antitrust, price setting above the table happens all the time, patent stealing is a business and businesses are run like mafias. japan isn't a dirty business culture its just very different by our [western] standards.

they are i believe two different methods of providing for curved surfaces. bezier curves for instance are use in q3:a. but i think its quite meaningless to provide acceleration for them, because current geometry acceleration [geforce 1,2, mx] *i believe* does that already. hope i could help.
this is off-topic and probably will get me moderated down but i love this: "DISCLAIMER: I'M NOT A LAWYER..." I have this real feeling that someday we will all be lawyers.
Your speculation, which is just that, about China's motives are far from the most reasonable "explanation" for their adoption of linux. the current best guess on why they find it so attractive is because: its free as in beer. Simple, concise, and lacks the conspiracy theories.
Don't remember where i saw this statistic, dont quote me, but as a criminal in a America, I believe the actual chance of getting caught and imprisoned in the US is like 17%.
Reagan never thought of it as a negotiating tool; Reagan thought it was *real*. When the Russians begged him to give it up, he wouldnt he saw it as far to important, even when his advisors told him it was fruitless. He was a senile OLD MAN, he slept during foreign policy discussions, G. Bush did most of the work on those.
But why isn't redhat or va or *someone* running ads with their newly gained cash about this, when are they gonna learn to seize the moment? especially after THE trial, why arent they ripping the guts out of microsoft? rob
most of my mp3s arent and excuse me [my bad], i dont see mp3 as illegal, i see distribution methods like napster unethical, i still use them though [no ethics, read my lst post, sorta like speeding though, not that big a deal.]
My post wasnt meant enrage those that use it for legitimate purposes but to point a finger at those that are rationalizing there use because they cant stop whinning over the music industry.
cs lewis had this idea that we were all born with this sense of right and wrong, as we get older we just get better at rationalizing what we did, to everyones preconcieved notion of right and wrong.
I see mp3 as illegal, but i still use napster. what i want to see is people telling the truth to themselves, lets stop getting better at raionalizing the situation.
Yes, the music industry is as Hunter Thompson says " a long plastic hallway where pimps and thieves run free", but the way to solve this isn't bucking the industry, its by starting your own businesses competing for better artists with a better distribution methods [the internet] and a larger share in the profits.
I'm not even sure if I like Paul Allen, the deal is if he cashed in his stock, devalued as it is, he would send the stock market diving, just considering his holdings, they're that big. He's a rich rich man, and for good reason, so no more jabs, i bet he thinks 20$ billion is as good as 30$ billion, hes not worried; he has no reason to be.
Anyone wonder if they can format this bad-boy down and stick whatever i want on it. thing is a bet not, they probably dont want to have to deal with the tech support calls. I REALLY really want this but i want to be able to do what I want with it.

i agree. what makes sony fair competition? they are every bit as bad, or as much of a 800 pound gorilla that microsoft is.

You know what at the time of these statements i would probably have to agree with SCO.
