I think the music industry is ethically right in the assumption that the music is there and we shouldn't be trading mp3s. What ethically gets me is that the music industry doesnt seem to get is that it is charging exhorbiant prices for the good they offer, and they have a pseudo monopoly. for instance, if im out to buy a dave matthews cd I can only buy that cd from RCA/BMG. thats right, i could go buy another cd from another company but I want that dave matthews cd, and they are free to charge what they wish on the fans; that is what isnt fair and drives me to trade mp3s.
true. most companies own the code you make. which means the owners john carmakc, adrian carmakc[no relation] and kevin cloud own his code. good things too, his id code includes quakeworld, linux q1 and q2, and code used in maintaining ids works.

to someone that plays quake3, edits it through qeradiant, the rage pro is a weak card. you may be able to get away with playing quake3, but you will be doing very slowly. no if they coud only put the rage128 on the laptop and the new dual rage card on the desk. i'd go mac.;)

I really do believe this is the reason i switched to linux, so i could run cool shit like this. call me crazy, but this stuff drives me wild. i remember, about two years ago formatting and partitioning my hard drive just to do this. cool code and people like this should and i hope always will exist.
