Does this mean the only 'sharing' will be by the great and beneficial BMG(and anyone else that comes along for the ride)? I would hope we still have NapsterClassic for independent distribution, and NapsterPay for the rest, i.e. the Music I have little or no interest in.

I would doubt it, considering the majority of the music in such clubs is either unsigned or not signed to a major label, but to a smaller one with a modicum of common sense.

However, from a console point of view I would like to see more Japenese firms developing for it. It is unlikely that something like Konami's Metal Gear Solid 2 will be ported to it any time soon and this is the sort of killer app it needs.
I wouldn't be too sure about that, Microsoft have had some sort of tryst with Konami for a couple of years now, one of the fruits will be MGS for PC. If you were MS, wouldn't you get a Dev Kit to Konami as soon as possible to expedite a 'killer app' for XBox? Additionally, there are rumours that Konami(and perhaps Square) will be developing for the GameCube. Does the PS2 seem quite so attractive now?

I had assumed I2 was a technology intended to strengthen the backbone, not provide ultra fast connectivity to the client.
