    EVERYONE has an agenda.

    EVERYONE manipulates the facts to some degree to support their own position.

    Dr. Postol has earned his label of antimissile critic through his testimony and writings. So he (and everyone else) has an agenda. Just keep that in mind when reading the report.

    I don't know about the effectiveness of the antimissile systems. It is a difficult task, to say the least. But we should keep trying. The defense department shouldn't "sex up" the record and the detractors shouldn't consider anything less than perfect to be a failure.

    I agree we need the nukes.

    America's message to the rest of the world should be that if you come at us, we will come after you and you have no idea with we will be bringing with us.

    Pro-Democrat group publish report on the short comings of Republicans
    Pro-Republican group publish report on the short comings of Democrats

    Advocate group publishes report that promotes/detracts from whatever the group promotes/detracts from.

    Are we seeing a pattern here?

    Even a cursory examination of the changes shows that they are largely:

    1. Adding more topics.
    2. Removing specific call outs to Liberal and Conservative pet issues.
    3. Generalizing the goals of objectives which will give the teachers more leeway in curriculum.

    Keep in mind that while the Indians were most definitely practically exterminated, they gave as good as they got much of the time. It wasn't until after the Civil War when the U.S. had a much larger force and no more distractions that the serious "pacification" efforts started.

    And that's only if you insist on storing perfectly good fuel instead of reprocessing it until there is hardly any energy left. But you will say "ooohhh it's too dangerous". Of course you know nothing of which you speak.

    As for building new ones, all it takes is a few approved designed, central manufacturing, and a out right prohibition on lawsuits by the wackos and the nuke plants could go up faster than anyone imagined possible.

    You people will say it can't be done, but it can. And the sooner we get started the better.

    "Alternative" Energy is like fusion...it's always just around the corner.

    So you just keep saying No to nuclear energy and they will keep drilling. Because wind farms and solar are pipe dreams for you people to jack off to.

    But this is only if we insist on being idiots and "waste" the fuel by using it once instead of reprocessing it and using it again and again until there is hardly any radioactivity left.

    ...about how many nuke plants we could have had in operation by now had it not been for the anti-nuke activists.

    It could have been the case that offshore drilling wouldn't even have been required.

    We could have been well on the way to electric transportation infrastructure.

    But, we'll never know now.
