My question is how well will Plex86 support SMP? will it be possible to run One guest OS per CPU?
I guess I'm thinging of a Mainframe like Protected Enviroment. Where each server is on its own CPU with its own ram. If that CPU and mem get hacked it would be a risk to the whole system.
If anyone reads the mailling list archives one will find that one of the most recent disccusions has been to replace the kernel (GNU Mach kinda sucks).
The only problem with this is it would mean about a 90% rewrite of the kernel stream work done so far.
As for applications once the kernel is retooled (Or compleated deppending on what GNU wants to do) any posix/linux app or server should compile and run fine.
If you read the wine docs you can compile MFC now with winelib. And if you think about it winelib is just a api likle GTK+ so they couold make a native port.
I mean this is a world of lawsuits now. If I can blame a problem on someone else regardless of whos at fault......LETS FILE SUIT, While Where at it I still need money for smoking cause the tabbaco companeys made me smoke, and Drinking I must sue BUSH cause they made me drink.

Dont most installs come compiled for a i386 Generic? I mean one that will run on a K5/i386/Cyrix or whatever?
Even most of the default precompiled kernels like in the slack install are like this.

PPP being the only one that needs major work
LinuxPPC will really be worth it if any ever builds a ATX PPC board.
