This could be interesting. I wonder how many will feel this is an intrusion of their privacy. Personally, as long as the community is well informed about what it does, and how it does it, and it doesn't do more than what's described in the summary, I don't mind at all. Actually, I'm quite interested in seeing some accurate numbers on how widespread Ubuntu really is.

The difference here is that if Microsoft gives Google the same 5 days, they can have a patch ready in 5 minutes, and as soon as whatever testing they need done is finished, they can apply it to all their users right then and there.

Everything is Microsoft because all everyone know is Microsoft. Thats why everyone should be learning Microsoft. See how this is a vicious circle thats not really profiting anyone but Microsoft?

While I do agree that in WC3 this is a problem with some maps (Footman Frenzy). But others like Dota doesn't seem to have this problem at all. But. Opening a WC3 map in the stock editor is quite a bit different than downloading the source, required tools and everything needed to compile a game, editing the source to add a "hack", compiling it, and then getting people to download that bogus version of the game. So your point is moot.

    Which killer features?

    • like multitasking then?

For what do you need multitasking on a phone? How would multitasking be different from how iPhone does things (you switch between apps)? Only use I could think of it is audio-streaming or something like that. Multitasking might make sense on normal computers, where you can have several app-windows open, and you could move stuff between them. But that is not possible on a phone. Phones display one app at a time.

Hell, you don't really multitask on a computer either. Or do you edit spreadsheet and presentations at the same time? No you do not. You do your tasks one at a time, switching between different apps. And you can do that just fine on the iPhone as well.

One thing I can think of which would be extremely useful would be an IM client.

I don't get this post. I'm from Norway and I've never had anything to complain about concerning government health care. Neither has my family, any of my friends, or their families.

I can give examples until I'm blue in the face and some people still wont be convinced.

If you dig for shit in any system, even one you'd think was perfect, you'll find it.
