you miss understand, I can't look for them, I can't stop them. and in the event of an actual hit I can't just drive down to the airport and hop on a plane. If a large wave comes down on Florida I can't stop it. My concern is the reaction of the people. The only thing I really have control over it the time before and afer an impact. if I can survive that time, before and after, then I would be happy. As a member of Earth i would say we have to do somehting as far as planing to stop it, but as me I can only actully help my self before and after.
The impact has very little to do with me, I can't predict it or stop it. What does concern me is what OTHER people will do. Mass panic,even if for only a day or two would teach us alot about ourselves but would set us back as far as stoping a large fast moving rock. I live in Florida and Even something as simple as a moderet size storm will clear out food ( funny thing, no one every buys cangoods or fruit, lots and lots of breed and milk, go figure) and create lines at the gas station. The important thing is I guess is to plan ahead.

At 20 miles there is still be some amount of air, lets us asumme that the gas contaner is empty and it's mass it a lot less than the capsle. The large light gas can will slow down much faster. Think of playing catch with a baseball and an empty coke can. you can throw the can as hard as you want but it will still slow down much faster than the ball. The formula for kenetic energy is KE=(1/2)mv^2 as the two split you can see how most of the mass will stay with the capsle, So it will have a large m value. both have the same speed so v is the same for both. just plug in the numbers and you will see that to start with ( before air is taken in to acount) the capsle will have more energy to keep it going. then gravity and air will slow the tank much faster than the capsle. Many companies in atempts to save money have been not only cutting staff but to cut support. At the company (a big OEM, moo moo) that I worked for the scope of support got smaller and smaller.... when I left they would not support ANY Viri, just say vires and you get sent away, asking anthing with the words "how do I...." and the is a toturial, you are the dumbest link, goodbye. Classic case of marketing say one thing and the company doing another.

Sorry I had to, but really it can't look good on a resume, the fact that you posted your side of working for a p0rn site shows that most people look down on it. In high school I took TV production, one thing the teacher would say ( out side of class) is that once you were in porn there was no getting out. It could have changed but the story has not note about people that have come out of porn in to the main stream.

So he has just created another level for computers to work on? Now clients and servers would need to go by another step after ARP, DNS and all the other stuff we hae to deal with. IMHO if we just put all this time spent in trying to side step the IpV4 space problem and put it into converting software and hardware to IpV6 we would be better off in the long run. but hey thats just me. ( note: this is not a flame)
