Well you know the old joke... we have been 30-40 years away from practical fusion for a few decades now:)... eventually we'll get there... but it's only 30-40 years away
Fortunately for science, running out of things to do, billionaires have decided to take up things to a new frontier... whether it be space x, blue origin or now this... maybe there is hope for the future of space exploration
My thought exactly... it is not necessarily because a platform is currently less plagued that it is more secure and I won't be splitting hairs w/ you... part of the reason is I am not really sure how I would go about splitting hairs anyway:p
it is not because something is a commercial flop that the idea is bad... apple worked on a tablet a while back, the newton and it was a flop... microsoft has been working on windows mobile for a while (ok bad example, please don't hit me:p )
What do we really know about outer space... up until recently we were not sure there were planets in other solar systems, we were not even sure there was water on the moon... so it is a fair question, what do we really know about outer space?
And yes I would like to learn more about the ocean floor too:)
am I the only that saw the headline boeing making a phone and was like... ha, say what?:) yes, I am sure they got the competences for that but not their core business as far as I know
Indeed, in the right position, adequate life support, with a fart loud enough (and by loud I mean powerful... we all know there is > no sound in space)... you could get to the moon in no time:p
"God does not play dice." Was he right about that?
who knows:), it's not like anyone we know can confirm or deny with certainty what his schedule... heck, with parallel universes there might be a universe where he does play dice... or there might be a quantic universe where he does play dice and not play dice at the same time until one finds out:)
every year we hear that this year is ipv6 year, get a law to switch to ipv6 only... everyone will upgrade... this is almost like linux, year of the desktop... this is getting ridiculous... yes it will disturb some things but give people 6 months warning and switch... internet has not been around for ever so it is not like it is impossible... and for the few cases it is, put them behind a nat, case closed
This is slashdot, the average reader does not know much about seduction except through biology books... the closest he'll ever get to nail a college student is if he takes a hammer, nails & bangs towards the wall:)... praying he actually manages to aim in the right direction... he could probably build a robot that will do that with precision though maybe even imitate a woman:)
call it a space ship, a vehicule, a cargo ship, call it anything you want but unless it has wheels, a boat hunk and is driven over a road, it's not a truck... we can't even get an elevator to space, let alone a highway
not knowing who is who is not specific to business cards... if you are not careful about who you add on your social network, you end up with a collection of contacts you have no idea why you have them.
business cards are relevant if you handle them properly.. if you can not remember who is who, put more info about the person on the business card or when you enter them into whatever software you use for contacts. Software exists to automate scanning business cards too.
if you are not printing business cards, imho, it is a mistake. not only some people are not computer savvy but it looks good when you have one.
Saying business cards need to die reminds me of how 20 years ago I read articles about how paper would die by year 2000 because of computer exchanges... a lot of bla bla... but business as usual

any unauthorized spaceships, doomsday stars and other prohibited devices should not be left in orbit without at least cloaking :p
uh oh, we're in trouble :p
Fortunately for science, running out of things to do, billionaires have decided to take up things to a new frontier... whether it be space x, blue origin or now this... maybe there is hope for the future of space exploration
Illusion or not, I believe it's all relative, depends on the point of view I guess :p
iLOL, what makes you think so :p

no, not the whole car, the actual wheels micro code... that does not sound right :)
must be lucy at it again in the sky with diamonds :)

with money and a steady vision (not changing every few years), it should be a straight forward
am I the only that saw the headline boeing making a phone and was like... ha, say what? :) yes, I am sure they got the competences for that but not their core business as far as I know
am I the only one who thought of broomsticks when he read the headline?
and can it do 3D? :p

I believe her books are about wizards, not pirates :)

Some would suggest that if you're using IE you're already screwed
Ahh.. but that type of screwing can't get you pregnant.
who knows... imagine a woman is using a period tracking extension and the person is mislead to think she won't get pregnant

I bet psychics did not see that coming :)
