  1. That's the same problem any computer running Windows has, which is easily solved by putting a real OS on it.

  2. I have an ASUS T-100-chi that was quite responsive running Windows 10. They only drawback was that it ran Windows 10, so I put Linux on it. It's an awesome setup for on the go frankly.

    Nobody said anything about throwing it away if you don't want to do so. What you don't get to do is expect free OS upgrades, not to be confused with updates.

    Since it solved that problem, which is not hypothetical at all as anyone with experience in the real world prior to the law can tell you, and causes no problems, why would you want to do away with it. This is the proof that Pai and his buddies are morons. They are so stupid they really think that people will believe the "We must do away with it because it is superfluous and has no effect" line of bullshit.

    That's because you think you are buying coffee. There is a lot more to the cafe environment than coffee. You can meet people there for example. There is also the convenience factor. It is much cheaper to pay $2.50 for coffee than it is to drive 45 minutes home each wsy, etc. This guy is just a douchebag trying to sound like he is brilliant.     Every time a subject like this comes up the now beaten to death subject of calling it AI or not AI gets hashed out again. It reminds me of the "It's not a cloud, it's somebody else's computer" debates of old. The industry has decided that the term for these systems is AI regardless of anyone's philosophical sensibilities, so can we agree that everyone has their own take on it and get on with the kind of discussions that actually add value in context now?

    The situation would be something like if the system has separate power rails and setting the switch off removes Vcc / Vss, etc. from the subsystem.
